All the Hype & More: NY Fashion Week and Fashion’s Night Out

by on ‎09-07-2011 05:25 PM

I find there are certain events in life that never seem to live up to the hype. For instance, New Year’s Eve. I never have as much fun as I think I’m supposed to be having; I inadvertently wake up New Year’s Day feeling strangely let down. Not so with the NY Fashion Week (and Fashion’s Night Out), which lives up to the hype and more. Styling my first runway show in Bryant Park during Fashion Week has been the highlight of my career.

The entire week seems to fly by in a frenetic haze. Three hours of sleep is a treat because the work never seems to stop. It was during this time that I came to consider my Starbucks coffee a “meal” because more days than not it was my only semblance of one. Ironically, I never noticed my exhaustion or hunger because I was living on an intoxicating adrenaline rush. There's nothing quite like the crackle of energy during NY Fashion Week. I’m getting excited just writing about it! Here are some personal photos from my various Fashion Week experiences:
