I love boots; they are one of my favorite accessories and a great tool to help transition your wardrobe from summer to fall. So, I was super excited to be given the opportunity to sneak a peek at our upcoming “Bootique,” and as you can see, we have an amazing selection of boots arriving for fall.

This fall we are seeing the addition of details like buckles, laces, studs, and equestrian-inspired hardware. Texture is also key; faux fur, shearling linings, and suede or fabric outers are playing a big role in footwear in general. These accents were seen on boots all over the runways and can soon be found on boots at QVC.com (and in the photos below).

My two favorites are laces on tall boots and equestrian details. Laces add great detail that looks functional (but fortunately isn’t, thanks to side zippers), while also drawing the eye up the boot, elongating the leg. The Wanted pair in the image below encapsulates both of these trends with the slight (but still flat) heel and laced back. It even has buckles, which adds a “biker” edge to the boot. I can see myself wearing them with a floral summer dress and a cardigan for a casual weekend look.

We are also seeing a lot of stacked and wedge heels on boots. These add great function and wearability for those who often have a hard time wearing the thinner heels that dominated last year. This wedge by White Mountain is a great example; the rubber sole adds comfort and traction when walking in rain or snow.

In general, height on boots from the heel to the shaft is varied this fall, so whatever your preference, we definitely have a boot for you. Below you can see a little bit of the variety that will be coming soon to QVC.com. I hope this sneak peek gets you excited for fall!
