Through the eyes of a child….

by on ‎08-04-2011 01:07 PM

This past weekend I babysat my 2½-year-old nephew, Ben, for the entire weekend.  Now, I LOVE kids, I don’t have any of my own, but I love them.  All three of my sisters have kids, their kids have kids, and all of my girlfriends have kids—they all lovingly call me "Aunt Angel."

As I was going through the day with Ben, I could not help but to smile regarding his total enthusiasm for everyday things that we “adults” take for granted.  When I picked him up, he got so excited about trees and more trees!!  I took video on of him jumping up and down to pop the bubbles I had blown for him.  And if I asked him to do something, like help me put clothes into the dryer, his response was—“of course!!”   He is just amazing and it got me thinking.

As adults we get so bogged down with the everyday things—laundry, dishes, bills, cleaning, cooking, etc.-that I do believe we loose our enthusiasm for everyday things.  I also think this is where Quacker Factory clothes make us appreciate the simple things, such as having a stranger smile at you or getting “Quacked” at!  It’s always a surprise, but also a joy to know that we have been noticed.

On a similar note- my best friend from grade school, Shari, came up to visit me last week.  Now she has known me since we were nine years old!!  She came shopping with me at the QVC outlet and was just so excited that QVC fans noticed me & came up to say hello!!  She was also wearing her first Quacker Factory top (she bought more at the outlet), and she got QUACKED at for the very first time!!!  We were out to eat, and a woman Quacked at her while she was in the bathroom.  Shari did not quite know what to do with that at first, but she got so excited and told the woman that she was dining with Angel, and the woman said, “Really??!!!”.    So fun, so enthusiastic, so Quacky.

This Saturday is Fall Fashion Day at QVC.  I am so excited because I LOVE FASHION, and we have lots of NEW items to share with you.  As I have stated on the air recently, it takes us almost a year to bring you the fashions that you see.  So, all of the new items that we will share this weekend have Jeanne’s fingerprint all over them.  She was in charge of their design and she gave her blessing for each piece.  The design team that Jeanne personally put together will continue to work hard to bring you the great fashions that Jeanne would have been proud of!!  I hope you will love them as much as we do!

I hope you can tune in this weekend Saturday August 6, 2011 from 5-7 pm EST and then again on August 7 from 2-3 am EST!!

Until next time--  Quack, Quack for now!
