Keeping up with Kenneth!

I just finished up a meeting with Kenny. We were going over the great product we have brewing for fall and beyond, which is always an extraordinary process. He's just back from his May sojourn, and I caught him before he leaves for his summer holiday. The man is a constant world traveler, as you all know; and I've had requests to let you know what Kenny has been up to so here it is!

The stories of his travels are always entertaining, as you can imagine. This May, he was in one of his favorite cities, Florence, Italy (which also happens to be mine). He attended the 75th birthday party for Zubin Mehta. It's remarkable how much I've learned and been exposed to because of my friendship with Mr. Lane. In case you don't know, Zubin is a world-renowned conductor who has conducted the New York Philharmonic and has been chief conductor of the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence and has had an amazing career.

The party was held at the Princess Corsini’s villa. I've included a picture of the it so you have an image in your head…is this place not absolutely amazing? At the dinner, Kenneth sat next to Cristina Pucci of the Pucci Family (ever hear of the Pucci pants?) and Marchesa Frescobaldi, whose family deals in wine (only one of the most important wine houses in Italy!). He said the night was a magnificent black-tie event and the ladies were dressed to the nines. They each wore their family jewels; and now, thanks to Kenneth’s keen eye, our QVC ladies will be wearing some beautiful pieces this fall.

I have some very special memories of Florence. Does anyone else have stories about Florence? I would love to hear them!

Tune in next time for an update on Kenneth’s summer trip to…sorry, you have to tune in to find out! I know, I'm such a tease. Keep wearing KJL in good health!
