Have you ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at QVC to prepare for a fashion show? Well, long before I worked here, I often wondered as a faithful viewer and customer what really happens. Who styles the outfits that the models wear? How is it decided what they wear and how they wear it? Now that I work here (I’ve been at QVC as a fashion stylist for 10 years), I now know the answer to those questions. There’s so much that’s involved to produce a live show — you could never imagine what it entails. There's months of company-wide planning before I ever get my hands on the product. But when I do, that’s my time to have some fun and present it to you in a way that I hope you can relate to and enjoy!
One of my next big shows is preparing for our upcoming Birki’s TSV, which will air on Friday June 17 at Midnight ET. (Actually, it’s a two-hour show that begins at 11 p.m. ET on Thursday). What would I wear with this sandal? Given their more feminine feel, I would wear anything from cute cargo shorts and capris to casual skirts and fun summer dresses. When I spoke with our on-air guest,
Claudia Brockmueller (the Birkenstock Collections representative), she told me, “These sandals with the toe loop are my personal favorite. I take this style with me on vacation. Whether I’m in my shorts in the afternoon or wearing a breezy dress to dinner, this is my go-to shoe.” So there you have it — a perfect marriage of comfort and style, not to mention the versatility!
