My New Wheels

A few weeks ago, my beloved car died and spent too much time in ICU. When they finally figured out what was wrong, it was pretty clear that after a lot of miles and years, it was time for new wheels. While awaiting the grim news, I strolled through the lot and sure enough, a new car spoke to me. Bottom line is I picked it up on Friday and we bonded over the weekend. My new Ipanema Sand car, while it's smaller than I’m used to, is a real beauty and I’m loving downsizing! This car's sporty, nimble, and my new good friend. And all of my friends who've been yelling at me for not driving with a hands-free phone should be delighted to know that this car's Bluetooth-enabled and I'm now a safer driver. If you pass me in my new wheels driving down to QVC, be sure to toot your horn.

Went to the theater this past week to see The Normal Heart. It’s by Larry Kramer, a long-time friend, and a revival of his 1985 production. It's an amazingly powerful play and nominated for a ton of Tony awards. If you like serious theater, it’s a must-see. Also over the weekend, I went to the soft "friends and family” opening of Donna Karan’s daughter Gabby’s new restaurant in Southampton, Tutto il Giorno. Gabby has another restaurant in Sag Harbor and the food at her new location's great! Try it if you enjoy Italian & are out in the East End. Got some doubles in outside between rainstorms. Hope all of this horrid weather's over soon for everyone.

I've been really busy at work on next spring’s collections and reading all of your online reviews for this year’s mini and maxi loungewear dress set. Your comments are incredibly helpful. Keep them coming! I’m always so focused on delivering comfort that I may have created too ample of a fit in the short dress for some of you, while others are loving it. While the "Long & Short of It" are two totally different items with different fit needs, I'll take all of your suggestions into account. I love your feedback, so please let me know how you plan on wearing each item.

Hope you had a great Memorial Day weekend and always celebrate in style!
