Q: What is the difference between this HALO charger and the ones offered previously?

A: The Power Cube charges its own built-in battery through an AC wall adapter or car charger. When the Power Cube is removed from the AC wall adapter or car charger it switches to the built in battery and continues to charge your device. 

 

Q: Is it ready to use out of the box or must it be charged first?

A: At a minimum, it will be partially charged and ready for use out of the box. But to get the best performance you should charge the Power Cube’s battery upon opening.

 

Q: Is this compatible with most cell phones?

A: Yes, the output voltage is compatible with most cell phones and, provided the user has the appropriate tip to fit their cell phone or an appropriate USB connector cable.

 

Q: Can you charge an iPhone 5 with the HALO?  

A: Yes. You must use the charging cord that came with your iPhone 5, or a iPhone 5 lightning adapter charging tip, which is sold separately,  including at QVC.

 

Q: Will this charge older iPhones?

A: Yes. Simply use the included 30-pin adapter tip.

 

Q: Will this charge an Android phone, such as a Droid Maxx?

A: Yes. Simply use the included micro tip.

 

Q: Will this charge Blackberry phones?

A: Yes. Simply use the included micro tip.

 

Q: Can it charge a GPS?

A: As long as it is compatible with the included micro tip, or a connector cable with a standard USB connection, it will charge a GPS.

 

Q: Can it charge tablets including the newest versions of iPads?

 

For the majority of tablets, it will provide partial power. The Power Cube is only intended to provide a temporary, supplemental charge to your device until you can rely on your original power source. If you have a Gen 4 or iPad Mini, you must use the USB-to-lightning cord that came with your iPad, or a lightning adapter tip, sold separately, including at QVC. This device is compatible with Nook HD.

Q: Will this charge a handheld game, such as Nintendo DS?

A: If your device uses a USB connector cable, the Power Cube will charge it. The micro cable included will charge certain handheld gaming devices, but will not cover all versions of the gaming devices in the market. If this is the case, you’ll need to use the USB connector cable that came with your game.

 

Q: Will it recharge a rechargeable digital camera or camcorder?

A: If your device uses a USB connector cable, the Power Cube will charge it. If your camera is not compatible with the micro cable included, you’ll need to use the USB connector cable that came with your camera.

 

Q: Can the user replace the unit’s battery?  

A: No.

 

Q: How do you charge this unit?

A: The unit can be charged through an AC wall or car charger.

 

Q: How long does it take to charge this device?

A: It takes about 5 to 6 hours, depending on the charging power source.

 

Q: How long does the device hold a charge?

A: It will hold a charge for at least six months.

 

Q: How many times can it charge my device before I have to recharge the HALO?

A: Battery life on the HALO Power Cube charger will vary based on the battery size of the devices being charged. Check the fuel tank for full, half, or empty battery.

 

Q: Does the HALO have a charge indicator to let you know when to recharge it?

A: Yes, the Power Cube has a charge indicator fuel tank on the side that will tell you when it has full, half, and no battery power. The unit will blink red when it needs to be recharged.

 

Q: Will it work in Europe?

A:The Power Cube will work to charge your device on the go. To recharge the Power Cube itself, you will need an international adapter.

 

Q: Will it charge older, non-smart, phones?

A: As long as the user's phone has a charging connection that is compatible with the provided tips or they have a connector cable with a standard USB connection.

 

Q: Are you able to make phone calls while your phone is charging on the HALO?

A: Yes.

 

Q: Does the HALO meet TSA guidelines for air travel?

A: Yes.

 

Q:  Does your device need to be completely dead before recharging?

A: No, you can recharge it at any point.

 

Q: If you have a fitted case on your phone, do you have to remove it before charging?

A: Most likely, no. If the case is blocking access to the charging port, you will have to remove it before charging.
