Q: Does 2S8X1103 scanner come with an owner’s manual A:  Yes, both printed and electronic copy included.


Q) Is the software MAC compatible? A: Yes, PageManager 9.08, CreateXE, and Stitching software are Mac compatible.


Q:  What file format does the scanner save the photo in? A: JPEG and PDF (Single Page).


Q: What size photos can you scan? A:  2x2, 4x6, 5x7, 8x10 and up to letter-size documents.  Recommended sizes: 4x6~A4.  Can scan up to 20” long receipts at 300dpi resolution. 


Q: What is the dpi for the scanner?


A: 300dpi (default & also for stitching mode), 600dpi in dock mode, and 1200dpi in wand scanner mode.


Q: How quickly can you scan photos?


A:  4x6 color 300 dpi JPEG in less than 8 seconds


     8x10 color 900 dpi JPEG in less than 15 seconds.


Q: Can you scan Polaroid photos? A: Yes, but they are a bit too thick for the dock (<=1.0mm).  Wand scanning is best. User Guide lists suitable and unsuitable paper types.


Q: Can you scan business cards? A: Yes.


Q: Can you scan receipts? A: Yes, up to 20” long


Q: Can I scan pictures from a cell phone? A: Yes, as long as the LCD display on Cell Phone or Monitor is bright enough for image captures.  Quality may vary.


Q: Can you store the pictures on a CD instead of the SD Card? A:  That would be via a computer, with proper software or Windows DVD application.
