Shoot like a Pro! Photography Made Easy

by on ‎05-24-2012 03:01 PM

"Why do I need a point and shoot camera? I have a cell phone." I cannot tell you how many times people have said that to me since cell phones have included cameras. Trust me, I know the ease of reaching into a pocket or purse and taking a quick snapshot, then uploading it to Facebook or Twitter. You can't beat how fast it is to share a moment with the world. Then I ask them "Now what?" I mean, now what are you going to do with that cell phone photo? It looks pretty good on the phone. It looks ok on the computer. But when you try and print it, if you ever get that far…how does it look?

I know cell phone photos will never go away. Plus, I don't want them too! I am a huge believer that the best camera to use is the one you have on hand. So use that phone's camera when you need to. Pull it out for a quick birthday pic at work or snap a shot of the huge sandwich the waiter just brought you at a zany restaurant. It is perfect for those unexpected moments that you want to capture and share. But please don't let it be your only camera!

When you consider moments like a once-in-a-lifetime vacation or celebrating your parents' anniversary with a big party, you need a camera that takes better pictures. These are the moments you do not want to miss! These pictures should be enlarged and printed then framed for a lifetime. I'm not saying run out and get a professional DSLR camera. But consider investing in a great point-and-shoot camera. They are as small as most cell phones but the picture quality is so much better. PLUS, the prices on this kind of technology has dropped considerably, making them feature-rich while not hurting the family budget.

I had an opportunity to play with the Canon Powershot that will be featured as a TSV this weekend. It is so easy to use. Now I am not talking "auto mode" easy. But this camera has an "Easy Auto" mode. That makes taking great photos easier than ever before.

This camera has tons of computations checking the lighting, subject, and color in milliseconds. (Ok, so don't worry about all the math.) The Canon does it for you. Plus it has a great lensand we are talking about an optical lens which means better quality. When you take a picture with a Canon Powershot, you will get photos worth printing. Let the cell phone capture those quick, unexpected moments. Let our Canon Powershot help you to capture lifetime memories (and you don't have to do any math).
