A: It includes Microsoft® Office Starter 2010. Office Starter includes reduced functionality of Word and Excel® with advertisements, but it does not give the full features in premium suite versions.


Q: Does the Inspiron 15 have HDMI and VGA ports?
A: Yes. The Inspiron 15 contains both VGA and HDMI ports. VGA is a 15-pin connector that transmits video only, while HDMI connectors contain 19 pins and are used to transmit HD video and audio

A: It is best to clean with a dry cloth.

A: Most routers use the industry standard 802.11 g/n frequencies for wireless, so that is what would be needed to match up with these notebooks.


Q: Does this notebook have the number pad on the side of the keyboard as well as along the top?


A: No, the Inspiron 15 laptop does not have a separate number pad.


Q: Can the user upgrade the memory?


A: Not at the time of purchase.  However, should you wish to upgrade the memory at a later date, it is recommended that a qualified technician make any hardware upgrades to the notebooks.


Q: Can you print wirelessly?


A: Yes, with the built-in wireless card, you will be able to print wirelessly from this notebook as long as your printer can support wireless printing and you have a compatible router.

A: The keyboards do not light up.

A: Yes.  You can either run the notebook on A/C power or battery power.


Q: Are all the software programs that come with the Dell notebook full versions?


A:  There are many great programs that are included with this offer.  Almost every one of them is a full version, but there are some trial software programs included as well.


Q: Can you purchase an additional warranty from Dell?


A: Yes, even though the notebook comes with a one (1) year warranty with phone, chat, and email support, extended support is available for purchase through Dell. Support for software and peripherals are also available for purchase through Dell.


Q: Are program/re-installation discs included for all programs?


A: Not all programs require re-install discs. The laptop has a partition of the factory install settings to restore the computer anytime there are issues that require a revert.  Some of the included software titles require re-installation discs for backup purposes, and some are also available online. The software bundle included also comes on disc.


Q: Is the disc drive a tray or slot drive?


A: The optical disc drive tray ejects out of the right side of the notebook.  The tray allows you to insert multiple sizes of CDs and DVDs.


Q: Does this have a slot for a laptop broadband card?


A: No.  Most mobile broadband (MoBro) adaptors connect to laptops using the USB port.


Q: What is the read and write speed of the DVD drive?


A: The laptop has an 8X CD/DVD drive for playing and burning discs.
