Dinner at Buckingham Palace!

by on ‎08-22-2013 03:23 PM

Hi everyone! I want to share with all of you how I started my summer. We had the amazing good fortune to attend a seated black-tie dinner at Buckingham Palace hosted by His Royal Highness Prince Charles and Her Royal Highness Camilla, The Duchess of Cornwall. It was the night of a lifetime! We attended with our dear friends Neil and Leba Sedaka. That evening, after dinner, Neil gave a 30 minute mini-concert which was just fantastic.  The tables were set magnificently with many beautiful antique objects that belong to Queen Elizabeth - Each had a little card next to it  describing where, when or who it came from. The dinner stated with ravioli stuffed with lobster as a first course followed by beef wellington and desert with fresh berries, cream and petite fours. Everything was so delicious and of course the champagne was flowing all evening. Prince Charles gave a beautiful toast and he made it a point to say hello and speak to everyone in attendance. This took place on a magnificent terrace (often this is where you see the royal family on TV) before we entered one of the ballrooms for dinner. It was a night never to forget.

The rest of the summer we visited with some close friends in the south of France and then toured the south of Turkey on a Turkish Gulet (a traditional style sailing boat) before coming home to start work preparing for Fashion Week and getting all my fall collections together. I will be blogging quite regularly sharing all different things. Enjoy these last days of summer.

Please tune in for tomorrow's shows at 2 am ET and 3 pm ET!
