Ever wonder how we get our Clarks shoes to fit just right? Well, here is a behind-the scene-shot of one of the many steps we take to ensure a fabulous fit.

I joined two of our top engineers, Larry and Bill – who have over 100 years of footwear knowledge and experience between them – in our Boston headquarters while they conducted a series of fit tests on models. With our Today’s Special Value, the Jaina Canary sandal, the goal was to make sure the leather woven upper never pinched, the heel strap stayed friction-free, and the footbed offered optimum cushioning and support. It’s so impressive to see how much attention and focus goes into creating each of our shoes and these tests were just the beginning. Ultimately 200 pairs of hands touch the shoe before it’s completed. Now that’s VIP service!
