Our Upcoming Clarks Today's Special Value, Plus Q&A with AnnaLisa DelCane with InsideQ

by on ‎01-27-2012 07:15 PM

Hello QVC viewers!

I am so excited to let our Clarks customers know that I'll be joining the team as a guest on January 28 at Midnight ET. I've been working with Clarks for a while now and am excited to share what I've learned about the company and how much they put into designing the right shoes for their customers. Clarks is the pioneer in comfort footwear, but what’s really exciting is that they're stylish, too.

QVC’s theme this month is “Back to Ahhh” and when you put on the Clarks TSV airing on the 28th, you’ll want to say, "ahhh" too.

See you then!

AnnaLisa DelCane

P.S. Check out my Q&A with the InsideQ team to learn more about me…

InsideQ: What do you love about Clarks?

AnnaLisa: I absolutely love how Clarks has combined fashion with comfort. The designers take great pride in their work and always put the consumer first. When they design the shoes, they pay close attention to details and trends while maintaining the comfort that's innate to the Clarks brand.

InsideQ: What is most important to you when shopping for shoes?

AnnaLisa: Comfort and style are so important to me, that's why Clarks is such a great fit. Between work and family I'm always on the go, so I need shoes that look good but keep me comfortable all day. I know a lot of women who feel the same way.

InsideQ: Prior to being the new Clarks guest you were a model. How did you get started in modeling?

AnnaLisa: When I was in my early 20s I did some modeling, but wasn't too successful. At that time they wanted you to be six feet tall and 100 pounds (that's not me). I decided to revisit the modeling career about 10 years ago when I saw that advertising became more realistic. I interviewed with agencies in New York, New Jersey, and Philadelphia and was fortunate enough to be represented by all of them. For the past 10 years I've had a blast working for some of the most creative people in the industry.

InsideQ: Where did you grow up and what did you like best about growing up there?

AnnaLisa: My hometown is Ardmore, PA. I have fond memories of family, friends, and neighbors congregating at our home during the summer months for pool parties and barbecues.

InsideQ: Did you love fashion as a little girl?

AnnaLisa: Oh, yes. Ironically, I think I was always a little obsessed with shoes. I remember my mother taking me to a shoe store when I was about 15 years old and all shoes were on sale for $7.99. At that time it was all about fashion not comfort, so when my mother asked if the 10-inch high-heel black patent-leather platform shoes I wanted were comfortable. I said of course they were  when I was sitting down.

InsideQ: What do you like to do in your free time?

AnnaLisa: Besides shopping for shoes, I love to go horseback riding. It's been a passion of mine for a long time. I just love the feeling of getting on a horse (I ride both English and Western) and taking off. It's a great feeling.

InsideQ: Share a fun fact about yourself with QVC customers.

AnnaLisa: While I might not look like the type, I love to get my hands dirty. Whether it's gardening or mucking the stalls, I'm not afraid to get dirty and put in a hard day's work.

InsideQ: What is your favorite style in our current Clarks assortment?

AnnaLisa: Wow, that's a hard thing to do, pick just one! As I mentioned earlier, I love to ride horses, so one of my favorite items would have to be the Clarks Bendables leather high-shaft riding boots (A217125).

InsideQ: What does Clarks brand mean to you?

AnnaLisa: When I think of Clarks I think of so many things — pride, authentic, loyal, dependable, community, spirit, and history. We have been around since 1825 and with that comes a vast knowledge of designing and manufacturing great footwear. There's also a wonderful spirit and sense of pride you get every time you walk into the Clarks building. From customer service to sales and marketing, the people have a real sense of community. I feel so honored and proud to be a part of a company that has such an excellent reputation and history.
