Mele Kalikimaka!

This holiday season, I am so grateful that our family is blessed with health and happiness.  We celebrated with a vacation on Oahu with our son Miles, his wife Heather and our precious granddaughter Grace. It was so nice to have a week to get to know her, she will turn one on December 23^rd, and we hadn’t seen her since April!  We found we have a lot in common.  We both love swimming, Christmas trees, luaus and Mickey Mouse!  About the only thing we didn’t see eye to eye on is that sand is an irresistible snack.

The adventure continues this week when she travels to Minnesota to meet my family and her first snowman! Everyone is so excited, but a little concerned about the fact that our little San Diego baby prefers bare feet! I’m hoping she loves her Uggs as much as I do. We’ll see how she embraces her puffer jacket and pants, this may change the way she feels about spending time with her Grandma Carolyn. It’s one thing to be dressed up in pretty Hawaiian dresses, quite another to be bundled up like an Eskimo. I’ll need to remind myself that I spent my infancy in snowmobile suits, Grace in swimsuits!

Bill and I want to thank you all for being such a special part of our life, personally and professionally.  We have had a wonderful year, thanks to you!  I look forward to hearing your holiday stories filled with family and friends. May your Christmas be joyful and your New Year bring all l that you wish for!
