Decorating Outdoor Spaces with Luminara Flameless Candles

by on ‎05-07-2013 12:33 AM

Just in time for outdoor entertaining and relaxing, Luminara debuts its first set of indoor/outdoor flameless five-inch pillar candles. Their innovative electromagnetic technology provides a flickering, magical flame effect while eliminating safety concerns and mess. Enjoy Spring and summer breezes without your Luminara candles blowing out. If it starts to rain, no worries. We've tested these in all kinds of weather. The high quality and realistic plastic construction won’t melt in the sun either. You’ll get up to 500 hours or 100 days of glow time with two D batteries using our five-hour timer function. That’s almost Memorial Day to Labor Day!

Here are four fabulous ideas to glam up your garden and put a little panache on your porch or patio. First pick from seven summer colors - Ivory, Tuscan Orange, Red, Apple Green, Navy, Purple and Hunter. Now let’s get decorating.

  1. Outdoor Shabby Chic Chandelier - Drill holes in the corners of a salvaged window shutter. Pull desired length of rope through each hole and knot at base. Hang evenly from pergola or gazebo roof. Place several Luminara candles across the shutter and you've got a romantic outdoor chandelier. Purchase the Luminara remote control for easy on and off.

  2. Beach in Your Backyard - Take a decorative serving tray and fill with playground grade sand from your home store (it’s been thoroughly cleaned). Place Luminara candles in the sand and surround with sea shells and star fish (available at most craft stores.) Stir up some margaritas and invite me over.

  3. Garden Pots - Purchase garden pots in a diameter that will accommodate the size and scale of the pillars (5x3.5). You can paint them, distress the terra cotta or keep them as is. Use green moss (available at garden or craft stores) to fill in between the edge of the pot and the pillar. So pretty. Use the remote control mentioned above, so you don’t have to disturb your arrangement other than to change batteries every few months.

  4. Bird Bath or Fountain - Create a focal point in your backyard or garden. Fill an empty bird bath or fountain with Luminara pillars. You can creatively paint your birdbath, too. Be sure to use the right paint for the surface. Cement paint is available at craft and home stores. (Note: Pillar is weatherproof, but do not leave submerged in water.)
