You Can Never Have Too Many... Candles!

I have a bazillion candles: tall, short, fat, thin, white and colored, shaped, and cylindrical. They soothe my soul, instantly inspire me to S-L-O-W down, and magically add calm to my world. Yes, they’re unequivocally romantic, and we often light them for “special occasions,” but we also pray with them, show our compassion with them, and celebrate with them (blow out birthday candles recently?). They’re always appropriate, either as a gift for that “special someone” or for someone we don’t know too well. They’re functional, but they’re much more than that, don’t you agree?

I gotta tell ya, I was a candle “purist” when I first came to QVC.  I had never purchased a battery operated candle before, but I’ve come to learn that we do them so well here that now I’m a total “mixer” (I have both). I’m especially delighted by these Luminara candles because the flickering light is so incredibly realistic. I mean it’s seriously easy to mistake them for the “real thing,” and that means everything to me. True story: I’ve had to reassure friends that “no, I don’t leave my house with burning candles” when we’ve been greeted by the flickering light!

These candles are on my coffee table, and my mantle, and now I’m totally tickled that this set (of two) can go outside!!! I can’t wait for warm evenings when I’ll be surrounded by friends and the easy gentle flickering light. They always look fresh and pretty (not melted), and with the 5 hour timer they can flicker for up to 500 hours.  I also cannot fail to mention that I have two (very curious) cats, so I love that these candles won’t burn them (yes, Olivia burned her whiskers on the real thing once and I don’t think they’ve ever been the same since!!). Bottom line: isn’t it nice to freshen up your space with candles? These candles come in great colors too (five of ‘em you’ll only find here at QVC), and if you take advantage of the buy more/save more, you can mix and match to your heart’s content.

Last thought, if you’ve never tried a battery operated candle, I urge you to get these. Once you see the flicker in the darkness, I bet you’ll be a convert too.
