It’s back! The second annual Fashion’s Night Out, a globe-spanning style extravaganza and splurge-inspiring shopping celebration, kicks off Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week on September 10, 2010. This year, QVC is helping make the occasion bigger and better than last year’s epic debut by sponsoring the event — and giving shoppers like you an up-close look at fashion in action (no tickets to the Big Apple required!).
What’s Fashion’s Night Out, you ask? In short, it’s a one-night global street fair created to reignite enthusiasm for fashion. Think celebrity appearances, complimentary cocktails and goodies, sales, and a generally FUN party-like atmosphere all over the city — all to happen at a giddy moonlit hour when stores have usually closed up shop for the night.
Last year I had the pleasure of experiencing the debut event, and it was so cool to truck around and take in all the fashion action firsthand. This time, QVC is opening a pop-up store in New York City for the occasion, and during Fashion’s Night Out we’ll air a live broadcast straight from the store into your home, so you can take part in the fashion fun, too! During the show we’ll debut brand new fall fashions from some very exciting celebrity designers — some QVC veterans, and some surprises that are brand new to the Q. We’ll also be selling an exclusive T-shirt benefitting breast cancer research — now that’s shopping you can really feel good about.
And that’s just the beginning — Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is going to be a fashion thrill ride from beginning to end, with five style-packed shows (and way more online). I get goosebumps just thinking about it.
