Hiya all…

Ugh, just watched the most amazing movie other night - The Blind Side with Sandra Bullock. So uplifting, and she plays such a spicy, sassy, Southern go-getter. So great. I loved her character and seeing her in a more dramatic role. Guys, rent this one (or order it On Demand)! "P.S. and by the way", as Jill Bauer would say, the whole movie night was perfect. Had truly wonderful friend over (I love you, Bubs!) and together we devoured delicious Indian food (after which I devoured  the hottest new thing, coming soon to a QVC near you - Isaac Mizrahi gourmet apples by Mrs. Prindable's (M22189)! Oh heavens, man, get ready because I ate a whole one in no time flat. I disgust myself.

Getting ready for Saturday Morning Q with David. We haven't worked together in what feels like ages. I've been traveling for work or on vacay and he's been doing the same. Oh BTW, today, after the morning show, I do my What's in My Beauty Bag? show and for the record, YES, everything in this show I truly love and use. I'm slightly pleasantly demanding it that way (Ha!). I won't let them put anything in this show I don't really have a love affair with. In case you missed the show by the time you read this, here's my list of luvs! In no particular order:

1. philosophy when hope is not enough serum ( A72213) - There are no words...other than this rocks. If you're over the age of 30, you NEED to be using a serum in combo with your moisturizer, and this one I would marry if I could.

2. CARGO concealer ( A188150) - I'm super high-maintenance (shocker) with concealer because I hate when it's too creamy and settles into your lines OR your eye makeup migrates onto your cheeks because of it. This is creamy, buh-hutttt dries like a powder. Heaven for humid summertime!

3. St. Tropez self tanner (A178623) -They are the self-tanning choice for celebs before awards shows, and spas use their products to do professional, all-over body tanning. Sidebar: just back from little trip to Boca Raton and the hoity resort I somehow landed a bargain room in uses their stuff in their spa. Smells great (I know, crazy right!) and I love it because the one I love from them is a MOUSSE so no yucky lotions or sticky gels.

4. Dalton Eyebrow Gel & Brush ( A12694) - I hate lining my brows, but this stuff is dummy-proof, sweat-proof, and natural-looking! Frankly, the magic wand is the brush that comes with it.

I'm so excited. I bought the Bethlehem Lights Today's Special Value® the other day, those gorgeous pre-lit petunias. I ordered red. It's a bummer that the hanging railing boxes are sold out. How amazingly real and pretty they were, right? They are going to totally fake out the bumblebees this season. Truth is, I kill everything and I hate watering and dealing with dirt. So frankly, plastic that looks real and lights up at night is right up my alley.

Just got this totally charming quilt from Valerie Parr Hill ( H13535) - the reversible rose quilt with shams - and I luh-huv it. Just put it in the kids' room (but since I don't have kids, it's the guest room where my four-year old niece Sloane sleeps and plays Barbies. And since somehow lately I'm on this completely obsessive "can't stop shopping" fit, I also had to pick up this little toile striped bed skirt number ( H13616) from the Q because I am heinously sick of looking at the ugly caster wheels on my guest bed since I have no skirt at present.

It should be noted that a.) I realize these are not big life problems, and, b.) I do, at times, tend to "life-medicate" with shopping. Lately, I seem to be going through one of those times...

Hmmm…what else can I share? I ate Cajun food last night with my good friend Maria McCool, my hair stylist who brings her  Calista Tools line to QVC. Did you know "Calista" means beauty in Greek? Anyway, love her boyfriend. The kinda guy who's so easy to like and keeps you in stitches all night. A really good guy. I ate alligator. Not sure how I feel about it. Like all other weird meats, it tasted like chewy chicken if you ask me.

Ok, well, must run. I'm decked out in this super-cool new necklace ( J146238) about to debut this week from a new accessories line we're launching - SPIN by Mitchell Gross. Also wearing my two first-ever Susan Graver purchases - an adorable zigzag scarf top ( A98084) and her awesome "feel like pjs" knit denim leggings with zippers ( A199402). I am ready to face the world. May the force be with me!
