One of the perks of working in this industry is getting to meet all the amazing people behind the brands we love. Recently the team visited Peter Thomas Roth in his midtown office to get some inside info on his life, career and advice straight from the source.

PTR was born and raised in Manhattan, but his father came from Hungary, where he had hotels near thermal springs. People flocked to visit the natural springs for their healing and beauty benefits, so one could say PTR has a storied link to skin care in his blood!

He suffered from severe acne as an adolescent which may just be the reason he got into the business. In fact, he began his line with products tackling acne and wrinkles (the two most important issues, we think!) and he strives to create stand-alone items so you don’t have to invest in a whole system to experience all the benefits.
