Brown Beauty - Straighten up

by on ‎11-11-2013 06:01 PM

Thank you for taking the time to read my “Brown Beauty” blogs every month.  I hope you are finding my tips helpful.  I still get a lot of inquiries about my hair when I wear it blown out straight so I thought I would focus on that this month.

I learned from the professional hair stylist that I work with at QVC that it is all about using the right tools.  After my hair is dry I finish my sleek style with the Chi Styling Iron

It has temperature control, floating titanium plates and even heating for consistent results (even in the kitchen).  I recommend sectioning the hair starting in the back and working through each section about ¼ in thick and 2’ wide.  Start with the temperature low until you figure out what works for you hair texture.  And don’t over do it.  Now that my hair is longer I try not to over-do-it with heat styling.

For shine I use Alterna Dry Oil Mist.  With the holiday’s fast approaching the Chi Styling Iron paired with the Alterna Dry Oil Mist would make great gifts!  {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}If there is a topic you would like for me to tackle let me know.  Like my Facebook page and tell me what you would like to see next month in Brown Beauty.

Every month I will be putting together a selection of my favorite cosmetics and skin-care solutions to help complement your skin tone. The search is over click here:  Brown Beauty.
