I just got home from a little vacation. First I went to New York and then I went down south to spend some time with my family. I posted some pictures on Facebook throughout the week. But, I know not all of you are on FB just yet. So, here you are.

Good morning from Balthazar in Soho. Kym and I just had a wonderful breakfast and of course, I ate too much. But I'm on vacation so it's all good! Hope you have a great Sunday!

It is beautiful weather in New York today! We were walking around Soho and realized that the annual San Gennaro Festival was going on. It went for blocks! Food, shirts, scarves, jewelry, carnival games, it was so much fun!

I was so excited that my friend Scott was able to come by with his new daughter, Olive. She is 3-1/2 months and just beautiful. I got to hold her, which was so nice. Don't you just love babies?

A good friend is someone who gets off a plane from an international flight at 5p, and agrees to meet you for dinner at 8! Renee did just that. She and her husband Justin, and Kym and I, had the best time at my favorite steak house in Manhattan: Quality Meats. It was so good!!! If you're going to indulge, that's the place that makes it worth the calories. Great friends, great food.

I know I'm on vacation, but you have to do the meetings when you can. I'm taking a break in-between meetings to go to Mood Fabrics on 37th Street. This place is impressive! They have everything, and their people (like Aron, who is helping me here) are so helpful. Makes me think I have to learn to sew.

I hate to leave New York on a beautiful day, but it's time to get on the road and go home. If you're visiting New York, do you prefer to drive or take the train?

OMG, look at this picture of my sister’s dog, Bella. She made me laugh until I cried! What do you think she was thinking with this expression?

Here is the rest of the picture. Last night, I was petting Bella for about an hour. She was so relaxed she couldn't even be bothered to get completely on the couch! She's such a lover, she makes little snoring/snuffling sounds when you pet her. This was what was interrupted for the photo from last night. What a cutie!

I had that time today with my niece that I've been looking forward to. That time, when she has asked, and her Mom says she is ready, to start wearing make up! We went shopping, and of course, you know what I got her started on! I wish bareMinerals had been around when I got started!

There is nothing more relaxing than morning on the beach. We took a walk with the girls and the dogs. Lola is a little dog and she stayed out of the water. Bella, the Portuguese Water Dog, jumped right in.

One of the great things about being an Aunt is getting to spoil your nieces. They both got pedicures and chose some really awesome colors. They are 9 and 12. I don't think I got a professional pedicure until college!
