Sandra’s “Pick Me!” Ole Heriksen’s Lemon Strip Flash Peel

Every once in a while you meet someone that my mother would describe as “a breath of fresh air.” It’s that rare person who is so genuinely kind and generous that spending time around them inspires you to be nicer and more giving.  Well, Ole Henriksen is that fresh air.  Just say his name at QVC and people smile and say things like, “Oh, isn’t he great?” I’m telling you this because sometimes when you only see someone on television, it’s nice to know that they are the real deal behind the scenes.  I hosted Ole’s first show last year and now we get to be together again at 7pm on February 19th

Still, even though I adore Ole, I promised myself that I would be honest and not sugarcoat products for my weekly “Pick Me!” blog. Therefore, imagine how happy I was when I tried Ole’s brand new Lemon Strip Flash Peel and knew I could write a glowing review. I was given a sample to try before the show when we will present it for the first time. It really is fantastic!

The Lemon Strip Flash Peel is a multi-acid, AHA peel. In fact, Ole uses the same peel on clients at his Los Angeles spa.  I love a good peel because I am a firm believer in exfoliation. However, if you are a little bit more hesitant, don’t let the word “peel” scare you.

You want to start with clean skin. The first thing I noticed was the lovely fragrance. It smells like fresh lemons and clean soap. I spread about a teaspoon on my face using the enclosed brush. I waited ten minutes.  I wish I could tell you that I did something valuable with that time, but I just watched a bad reality show (shhh….). Then, I pulled myself away from the television and rinsed my face. Done.

The results were immediate! My skin looked more radiant.  The AHA Complex helps remove dead skin surface cells that sit on the skin.  The peel also promises to help improve the appearance of lines, wrinkles, and pores, while improving hydration.

I know many people already love the Ole Henriksen line. However, if you have never tried any of the products, this might be the perfect place to start. It can be used with other skincare brands you are currently using. For best results, use it once a week.

This is part of my weekly “Pick Me!” blog where I discuss the products I am currently using and enjoying. If you have a product you would like me to review, please let me know and I will do my best. Thanks for all of the great suggestions so far. I know several of you mentioned the Ole Henriksen brand, which helped in picking a topic this week. You can leave comments here, or join the discussion on my Facebook page. Have a good week!!
