Sandra's ""Pick Me!""... with Tria!

I'm going to be hair free this summer in all the areas I want to be hair free. Just writing that previous statement seems like such an "overshare". I know as hosts on QVC, we are prone to sometimes giving too much information (TMI!), but stick with me... in this blog, it is about to get worse!

This week for my Sandra's "Pick Me!" I really wanted to talk about the Tria because not only is it going to be the Today's Special Value® on February 11th, it is also changing my entire grooming routine. Soon, I will not have to worry about shaving, waxing, or epilating. Imagine not having to shave your underarms before you wear a tanktop. No more looking down and seeing that you missed a few hairs around your ankles. Plus, there is the joy of going on a beach vacation and not worrying about your bikini-line. Oh, and if you have stray facial hair, you can get rid of that too!

Laser hair removal is not new. For a long time, you could go to a doctor's office and spend a lot of money removing hair. In fact, just to get one course of laser hair removal treatments on your underarms OR bikini-line can be around $1,000.00. The Tria 4x Laser Hair Removal system is the cleared by the FDA for face (from the cheek line down) and body for at home use. It's the same technology as the doctor's office, but now you can do whenever you want and it is way more affordable.

I started using a previous generation of Tria about a year and a half ago. First, I treated my underarms and bikini line. Then, after experiencing great results, I moved onto my legs.  I'm not done yet because I took a long break in between treatments. Now with the latest Tria, I'm determined to finish my legs. One thing to note, treating your face, underarms, bikini line, and stray hairs on places like your toes or stomach does not take long. You can do smaller sections in about five minutes once a week. It will take up to 30 minutes per session when you do your legs because you are covering a lot more surface area.

The Tria Hair Removal Laser 4x is like professional laser treatments because it is an FDA-cleared at-home hair removal laser that uses the same technology. With a new updated digital display featuring the exclusive Tria Pulse Counter, I am finding it easier to make sure I don't miss a spot during treatments. When using it, it may be a little uncomfortable but I personally find it way more bearable than waxing. Plus, there are five intensity settings. I like to keep it as high has possible to get faster results. On sensitive areas, I turn the intensity down.  Expect to see long lasting results fast. You can see results in about three months if you use it one time per week.

So far, I'm having great results. I decided to show you by not shaving a section of my leg for more than a week. The picture is posted here. (By the way, I can't believe I'm posting this! I just thought a picture would give you a better idea of how it is working.) You can see at the top of the picture I still have some stray hair. However, you can also see where hair is no longer growing. Right now, I only have to shave a few sections of my legs. I'm going to try to do my legs every week, with the idea that I could be close to hair free by Memorial Day.. or sooner!

So is Tria for you? That depends. If you don't mind shaving or waxing, don't bother. But, if you want to be free of the endless cycle of shaving and waxing, then I think you will love it. It is so nice to have skin that feels smooth!

This blog is part of my Sandra's "Pick Me!" series. Each week, I'll pick a beauty product to review or tell you about a product I already love. If you have any suggestions or a product you would like me to review, let me know. You can also join me on my Facebook page. Have a great week!
