Southern California Dreaming

It’s been nearly 35 years since I last visited Disneyland. This week, I returned and experienced it all over again through the eyes of my 6-year-old nephew.

It was so much fun to see William laugh with delight as we rode the mad-mouse style roller coaster called Goofy’s Sky School. He was thrilled when our car won the race in Radiator Springs. And he was a brave little guy, holding on tightly as we rode the elevator up the Hollywood Tower Hotel, to be dropped from the “Tower of Terror”.

Mickey Mouse, Minnie, Goofy and the Gang are as delightful today as they were when my sister, brother and I were kids excitedly exploring Disneyland for the first time in the 60s. But, there is a lot more to see and do today. The park is bigger, the rides are faster, and Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and the Gang have a lot more company -- Lightning McQueen, Mater, Tiana and Merida to name a few.

Disneyland is still the happiest place on earth. Even happier seen through the eyes of the little ones that we love!

Just an FYI -- Saturday is our ‘Hello Spring Style’ Accessories Event.

AM Style will be packed! We’ll have bags and shoes, along with transitional wardrobe pieces that will help you say “Hello Spring”. I hope you’ll join me.

See you Saturday!
