Honoring Holiday Traditions & Creating New Ones with Chaz Dean

Posted by WEN by Chaz Dean 1354566314.18
Now that the end of the year is hurtling toward us at a rapid pace, I like to take the remaining months to reflect and give thanks. Though some of the busiest times still lie ahead here at Chaz Dean Studio, we know the holidays are a great time to honor old traditions and create new ones. Whether you'll be spending this winter with family, friends, or furry loved ones, cherish each moment knowing these are the times you'll think back on and be thankful for.

Chaz Christmas
Some of my greatest memories are of my childhood, which I spent with my mother, father, brother, sister, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. In particular, my family had a tradition we liked to call the "magical stockings." Every Christmas, after we spent an entire day decorating the house and tree in garland, ornaments, tinsel, and family relics, we grabbed our five-inch, cherry-red stockings and hung them above the fireplace. Each stocking had a name stitched at the top, so when woke in the morning, we knew whom each one belonged to. Before bed, we gathered around a plate of cookies and a glass of milk set out specially for Santa Claus. Then, our grandparents told us about our magical stockings. Though we'd heard the story before, we loved to hear my grandmother and grandfather recite the tale. They told us that every Christmas, with a little bit of Santa Claus' magic, our stockings grew in size to accommodate all the toys and treats. Without fail, we always woke in the morning and raced to the living room, where we found that our miniature stockings had more than quadrupled in size! They were so large, in fact, that once emptied, we crawled inside them to see if there were any presents left undiscovered.
Chaz & his older brother Jimmy

Thinking back on these moments of magic and imagination truly reminds me of how grateful I am for my loving family and supportive friends. Even more recently, I can remember back to the times when I visited my sister and her family in Arizona. Every Christmas Eve, we holed ourselves up in her bedroom, staying up until the wee hours of the morning to wrap gifts for my niece and nephews and recall stories, like the one about the magical stockings. We liked to play tricks on one another, wrapping gag gifts we found around the house just to see the look of surprise on one another's faces on Christmas morning when we opened a gift of already worn socks or a box of tissues.
Chaz & Family
The look on a loved one's face when you get to share such stories or watch them unwrap a carefully chosen gift is something that touches everyone. Being able to show your family, friends, coworkers, bosses, or neighbors that you care about them is the greatest gift of all. That's why this coming holiday season, I've decided to put together a Today's Special Value® that makes stuffing your magical stockings easier than ever. The WEN by Chaz Dean TSVSM will be a set of five Cleansing Conditioners, four Seasonal Cleansing Conditioners, and a Pomegranate Cleansing Conditioner, complete with individual gifting boxes as well as instructional DVDs. Both the Pomegranate Cleansing Conditioner and the seasonal Cleansing Conditioners are universal formulations that effectively cleanse, hydrate, and replenish hair without stripping or robbing it of its natural, essential oils. Since each formulation is universal, they work on all hair types and textures for both children and adults alike. This year, you'll be able to give the people you care about the gift of beautiful, bouncy, shiny hair, which is something they'll cherish forever.

Who will you be giving WEN to and what are some of your favorite holiday traditions?

I will be gifting WEN to my stylist, she loves it also and being a mom to a 4 year & newborn, she needs a treat.

My favorite tradition, that I wil miss this year since son is deployed and will not be home , is to wrap his gift socks in an unexpected box or tube so he has to be surprised that he found them. I will do it this year- but will not see his expression, I am packing them in a WEN box from the TSV {the formula that I am gifting myself with- WVM} hope he enjoys that I carried on the tradition.

Thank you Chaz & Merry Christmas to you & your family!

I will be gifting Wen to my best friend - she is going to love it.

Having two children, I have enjoyed making new Christmas traditions with them that hopefully they can carry over into their adult lives. We have several, but one has to do with their own special tree. They have a four foot tree that sits in my foyer. Every year, this tree is decorated with all the ornaments they've made throughout the years. They get to to decorate this tree and every year they enjoy going through all the ornaments and remembering when they made them. Even the tree topper is something that one of them made several years ago.

Sure, this tree isn't going to win any decorating awards but to me it's the most beautiful tree in our home. And it reminds me how quickly my children are growing up and how fast time flies.

Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

~I've always been misunderstood because of how I look. Don't judge me by the cover 'cause I'm a real good book. So read into it what you will, but see me as I am. The way I look is just a country girl's idea of glam.~

I discovered WEN while I was a wounded warrior at Ft Bliss, Texas I was in a lot of pain so I was always awake for late night infomercials and I decided to try it. Wow! My hair looked healthy and shiny and when i went home on leave for christmas my mum asked me what i had done to my hair (absolutely nothing but the Wen, id even stopped dying it because it was too hard to keep up) so, that Christmas I bought my mum the large size of tea tree Wen and she has been hooked ever since and every Christmas she can count on a box of wen under the tree from me every year. I adore your seasonal scents (pumpkin is my favorite!) And my mum still loves the tea tree or lavender and my service dog Lili (my right hand and left foot) she's. beautiful grand Pyrenees with lovely fluffy white fur is a wen girl too! I take either the lavender (in the summer) or the pomegranate (in the winter) to the groomers every time she comes out looking her best and she deserves the best for everything she selflessly does for me each and every day... So thank you Chaz for new family traditions and helping my helper to look her doggy best... Happiest of holidays to you and yours and may sun shine in your soul every day of your life.

Chaz, on Sat.(12/8) while showing your treatment spray you so casually mentioned "the skin cancer you had removed". What kind of skin cancer was it? Jane P.

I live in PA about 4:00 away from qvc. Thank you Susan

I started using Wen in Oct. I loooove it!. My hair is long, thick and coarse, your products have helped my hair feel silky and smooth, and when I leave my hair natural my curls look so smooth, I get so many compliments. I have told my friends and coworkers about Wen and they have decided to use it, and they all love Wen. I will never go back to those expensive brands that claim to do great things to your hair, instead I was harming my strands. Thank you for your products..I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year...

I am so sad about missing out on the TSV, my five kids, my hubby and myself all use and love WEN! Any chance this bundle will be brought back? I'm getting worried that we'll be out of WEN before the next TSV!

Thank you Chaz for sharing your memories with us. I enjoyed being transported back in time with you. You are blessed to have a great family.

I seems your creative talent extends to writing, maybe a book later?

I love Wen and have been using it solely. Thanks for giving us the deals.
