Fall is such an exciting and inviting time of year for me!! I love the colors of the beautiful Pennsylvania foliage and the crisp air of the season. Decorating is always fun, too!
My family and I are not huge lovers of decorating for Halloween, so we tend to decorate more for “Falloween”! We enjoy the look of fall and like to decorate for the entire season in splashes of orange, brown, burgundy and green. I change out the centerpiece on our dining room table to keep it fresh. Below is our first picture of this season, complete with a combination centerpiece from Bethlehem Lights and Home Reflections.
The kids also love to carve pumpkins and here is a picture of their completed masterpieces next to our mailbox.
I’m not sure what happened to the top of the pumpkin on the left. I just might have to follow Tito around a bit and play detective!
And of course, we roast the seeds after we clean out the pumpkins. Thanks to Betty Crocker and a recent pinning frenzy, I just learned there is more than one way to roast pumpkin seeds. Here is a link to all the different flavors:

I am pretty new to the whole world of Pinterest, but so far, I am having a great time. I am just amazed by all the creativity and time people share with each other!
Do you decorate for Halloween? For Fall?
Counting our blessings,
Just lovely, Mary Beth
Fall is my favorite season, too. Brings out the best in me. :) I have always wanted to visit New England in the Fall....
I love the fall, it's getting cooler and it puts me in the mood for the holidays. I love decorating for the fall season and then here comes Christmas, Yea!! I go all out at Christmas, when my children were growing up I would decorate from one end of the house to the other end. I love the holidays. Mary Beth your home is beautiful!! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas! Blessings to you and your Family!

hi mary beth...like you, love fall and decorate in this theme not halloween...ever since our children were young, our emphasis was on harvest....and thanksgiving for all the Lord has given...so that translates to pumpkins, but not jack o' lanterns and not necessarily in orange. mostly prefer faux wheat, fall leaves and mums. especially like the deep burgandy colors. this year added a candle impressions arrangement, the ivory one that comes w/pine cones and holly berries, just put them aside until after thanksgiving and added cinnamon sticks for now. one year when our daughter and young family made a holiday visit at thanksgiving to exchange christmas gifts, decorated a lighted faux tree w/fall garland filled w/flowers in beautiful harvest colors. it was a hit and then after the holiday of course, changed to christmas ornaments. we will all be together again this year at thanksgiving but now that the grandsons are grown, we will just celebrate thanksgiving and mail our christmas gifts but for that season in our lives, it worked well.

Thanks for sharing Mary Beth. Our family doesn't decorate for Halloween either so I have fall decorations all over my home. Like I do at Christmas time, I decorate every powder room with little things and then every room in the house has fall candels, swags and other items I have picked up from QVC and other stores.
Not only do I love the fall colors but I love the smells of the fire places and the crisp fall days and nights.
Blessings to you Mary Beth and your family this coming Thanksgiving Holdiday!

Hi Mary Beth, I grew up in PA,but now live in TX due to my husband's work, but I can tell you for sure that fall in PA is one of the things I miss most. We don't decorate for Halloween either. I'm like you, I decorate for fall. It reminds me of living in PA and you can also leave fall decorations up until Thanksgiving! Your home looks lovely as you always do.
Blessings for a wonderful day!
Mary Beth -- We do not decorate for Halloween either. We start out with our Fall decorations and then we add our Thanksgiving decorations. Some pieces work for both! I have the same Home Reflections piece you do. If you don't mind, I may borrow your look! Happy Fall and Happy Holidays to you and yours.

hello Marybeth! your pictures are always so pretty, can you show your viewers a picture of the front of your home? I bet it is just breathtaking, as always, god bless, thank you
Hi Mary Beth!
I love the Fall! Living in south Florida, I especially love to decorate for the Fall. It reminds me of all the years growing up in NJ. I have a few Happy Halloween window decorations (nothing scary) that my Mom bought over 25 years ago (so it is also a special remembrance of her).
I also have a pretty soft Welcome sign with a Halloween theme on the inside of my home by the front door. I actually have one for every season. After Halloween, I will hang my Fall wreath which I made a few years ago. We are going to my sister's in NC this year for Thanksgiving, so I won't be decorating for Thanksgiving per se. Then, of course will decorate for the Holidays, New Years and winter!
I would also love to see a pic of the front of your home. I am sure it very beautiful! XO
Best Blessings and Love,
On one of your Liz Claiborne NY shows you mentioned that some blouses would be coming soon. Do you have any idea when? I have looking for the basic blouse in fabulous colors of brown and green but cannot find anything. I sure hope LCNY can can come to my rescue.
Mary Beth, I have a question about dog odor. I've heard you say you have dogs and recommended a products that would remover the smell of dog urine and poop. Please tell me what it is. I need some NOW!!! Thanks
