You Asked, Mally Answered!

layne67 asks: I would love to know what eye shadow colors Mally recommends for brown eyes. I've seen recommendations to do more colored shadows with brown eyes (instead of brown or neutral shades as they don't do as much to make brown eyes stand out) but sometimes brightly colored shadows can be difficult to wear, especially for daytime. Any advice?

Mally: For me, My Love, it's all about wearing the colors that make YOU feel beautiful! But, if you really want to make your eyes pop, here are my suggestions: you can absolutely go for browns and neutrals, like the ones in my In The Buff Palette! Those are my go-tos. I also love a plum shadow or liner against a brown eye. What's just as important as the shade is the finish. I love shimmery shadows because they really catch the light and make your eyes sparkle, no matter what color eyeshadow you are wearing, and they are totally appropriate for day and night! My Powder to Liquid Light Brightening Eyeshadow Trio have the most incredible finish and make your eyes wider, brighter, and even more gorgois!

chrissygal¬pal asks: What is the difference between your finishing powder and your face defender?

Mally: Great question! Both of these products are my alternative to traditional translucent powder, which I banned from my artist kit years ago! The main difference between these two products it the delivery system--some people may prefer a "powder" texture, so they prefer the Poreless Perfection Skin Finisher, and some people may prefer a compact like my Face Defender. I like to use the Skin Finisher after I do my makeup to set everything, then I take my Face Defender with me to touch up throughout the day!

Pixie RN asks: Mally, maybe this seems "elementary" but I have a question about blush. Some say to put it on the "apples of your cheeks, some apples of the cheeks, blend up and then down. Another says "not past the eyebrow." What is the best and most natural looking way to wear both cream and powder blush.

Mally: No way, Mama, I LOVE your question! Here's how I like to do it: smile to find the apples of the cheeks, swirl the blush on the apples, then sweep back toward the ears. What you're doing by accentuating the apples is giving your face a more youthful look, then by sweeping back towards the ears, you're actually giving the appearance of more lifted face!

MRSMDO asks: Hi Mally!!!! I Love your products!!! what have been the awesome colors on your lips lately?

Mally: Love YOU, right back, Honey! I am usually a nude lip girl, but lately, I have been loving the deeper, wine colors! I have been wearing my Ultimate Performance Lip in Royal Wine and my High Shine in Sweet Berry!
