All Access Beauty: The Product That Has Our Skin Care Buyer So Excited

OK, I admit it. In fact, I proudly admit it. I’m a self-proclaimed beauty product junkie with no plans to slow down. So, needless to say, nothing tops a 25-hour beauty event in my book. I mean, come on...a full day of beauty bliss?? Sign me up!


But believe me, planning for an event like this takes far more than 24 hours. Truth be told, it rivals the amount of preparation that goes into planning a wedding. The shows, products, pricing, hosts, models, animations, before & after pictures, photography…oh, and did I mention the products?!?


Most of the product-selection process began back in the fall, but every once in a while you see a product that you just know is going to be a game-changer. Enter Algenist’s newest launch: Deep Wrinkle Minimizer. When I sat with the Algenist team about four weeks ago to work on Fall 2012 product development, they blew me away with this product. I knew instantly this was a must-have for the 25-hour event and I needed it ASAP! We’ve been working like crazy over the past month to get this product through both our quality assurance process and legal department in order to debut it this month. In fact, it’s so new that we’re not even able to ship it until mid-May—but trust me, it’s worth the wait.  Here’s a sneak peek:

Finding the perfect products is just the beginning. Figuring out exactly how we’re going to fill the 1,500 minutes of airtime is a bit like putting together a puzzle. Together with our planning partners, we strategize to select the right mix of exciting new launches coupled with your tried-and-true favorite products. Then, enter our sales partners who make sure everything is executed on air. When we decide to buy a new product, there’s always this initial vision as to how the story will be told and explained on air. Our sales team helps bring this vision to life by adding visuals, models, animations, before & after pictures…the assets are endless! After we’ve outlined the rundown for each individual item, we meet with each of the hosts to review the shows. We go through each product and often times, our hosts offer great feedback and suggestions as to how we can make the presentation even more exciting on air. Being able to react to different ideas and callouts from people with varying areas of expertise is what allows us to keep the shows both entertaining and fresh.


All the months of planning, reviewing products, and determining what makes the cut and what doesn’t adds up to an exciting day jam-packed with everything and anything beauty-related!
