Addicted to the Peel

by on ‎03-20-2012 02:25 PM

As a Manhattan dermatologist in private practice for over two decades, I understand more than anyone how frustrating the aging process can be. You have enough to worry about in your busy lives between balancing family, friends, and a career. You shouldn't have to add aging to that list. I've come to QVC to share everything I've learned over the past 20 years and to give you all of my professional trade secrets and industry know-how, based upon results I've witnessed firsthand with my patients.

Most importantly, I want to reassure you that you do NOT have to accept the aging process. With the right ingredients, it is possible to slow the process down and be truly happy with your skin. Over the course of time, I will share many tips with you in my blog.

To begin, I want to start with what I believe to be the cornerstone of every antiaging routine.

Add a Peel to Your Daily Regimen

In my professional opinion, an Alpha Beta Peel used on a daily basis is one of the best ways to help prevent and correct fine lines and wrinkles. Unlike the glycolic peels of the early '90s (that Samantha on Sex and the City so famously demonstrated), today there are many safe and effective options available.

With my Alpha Beta Peel, you simply apply Step 1 to remove the dull, dry, dead outer layer of skin that makes you appear old and haggard. This outer layer also blocks antiaging ingredients from penetrating, so it is necessary to get rid of it. Wait two minutes and apply Step 2, which is both a serum and moisturizer that infuses skin with all of my favorite actives including retinol, resveratrol, genestein, and ubiqunione, just to name a few. Apply this treatment daily, just like brushing your teeth. Read what others are saying here.

The Alpha Beta Peel comes in two formulas: original and extra strength. Which one is right for you? Please reference the chart below and also join me on March 20 at 9pm ET on Tuesday Night Beauty to learn more.

Original Formula

  • Mild to moderate signs of aging

  • Those looking for preventative measures

  • First-time peel users and extremely sensitive skin

Extra Strength Formula

  • Moderate to severe signs of aging

  • Those looking for corrective measures

  • Those with stubborn skin conditions that have not responded favorably to other antiaging treatments

Together, we can help prevent that next wrinkle from forming! Please tell me about your skin. I look forward to hearing your feedback.
