I don’t often discuss price, let alone start off a post with it, but this tarte TSV is such an insane value I almost feel compelled. The Miracle of Maracuja 8-piece Skin Smart Collection includes Customer Top-Rated Maracuja Oil, which is normally $46, and tarte’s most popular mascara, which is normally $19…plus all this other great stuff that are hardly mere afterthoughts for (drum roll, please) under $60.

Here’s everything included—all are full sizes:

  • Pure Maracuja Oil

  • Maracuja Creaseless Concealer in Fair, Light, Medium, Tan, or Deep

  • Lights, Camera, Lashes! Mascara

  • Airblush in Shimmering Poppy

  • Amazonian clay eye shadow quad in Envoke the Smoke (Pink Cloud, Silver Mist, Purple Fog, and Dark Ash)

  • Cashmere Waterproof Gliding Liner in Black Magic

  • Maracuja Divine Shine Lip Gloss in Peaceful

  • Blush brush

I’m sure the powers that be would want me to tell you how great this set is for spring. But the truth is that one of this kit’s main selling points is its versatility. If you ask me, it works year-round; it’s not season specific. You can also do a very natural day face or really turn up the volume for date night or girls’ night out just by playing around with the shadow quad and eyeliner. I had a blast experimenting with different permutations of the shades in the shadow quad—you can do a traditional smoky eye, a plum smoky eye, an ice-princess effect…there’s so many ways to wear them. I think my personal favorite is Pink Cloud on the lid with Purple Fog in the crease.

I’ll be the first to tell you the Shimmering Poppy Airblush looks a bit dark in the pan. I thought my sample must have been intended for a deep skin tone. Much to my delight, I was completely mistaken. With the included brush, which has these unique wispy-tipped bristles, the blush goes on with a light touch you can build gradually to your desired intensity and offers a cheerful, natural flush.

The gloss in Peaceful kisses lips with a wonderfully subtle—but entirely visible—pink sheen. Here’s a trick for times you prefer a little more color: Take a tarte LipSurgence natural matte lip stain and apply it before the gloss. Layered over the stain in Lucky, it creates a candy-pink effect. On top of Exposed, you get a nude-pink shade. But my favorite combo might be the rosy pink hue I get from Peaceful and Hope. (By the way, you can use this trick with any of tarte’s luscious new Maracuja Divine Shine Lip Glosses and matte lip stains. It’s like they were made for each other.)

The Maracuja Creaseless Concealer is creamy, waterproof, and offers full coverage without “breaking.” The ever-popular Lights, Camera, Lashes! Mascara makes fringe look miles long without icky clumps or spider-eye syndrome. And get this: In a clinical study, three coats of the mascara increased lash volume on average by a whopping 330%...but I find one coat is plenty to get the job done. What can I say about the Black Magic eyeliner? It’s waterproof, it glides fluidly without tugging…it does everything the name implies.

Last but not least, there’s the pièce de résistance: Maracuja Oil. If you’re not familiar with this natural wonder, it’s derived from the Amazonian passion flower and rich in vitamin C and essential fatty acids. Despite being oil, it’s actually quite light and absorbs quickly. It’s hydrating, glowifying, and all-around amazing. I’m just getting over a two-week cold that has left parts of my face—the ones that have been in constant contact with tissues—miserably chapped. After a couple of days of applying Maracuja Oil to those patches, my skin feels far softer and smoother, and my Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Foundation and Smooth Operator Micronized Clay Finishing Powder are once again sitting pretty (by the way, both of these are ideal companions for the TSV if you’re looking to create a start-to-finish look—just choose a foundation in the same shade as your concealer). I haven’t used Maracuja Oil long-term, but this stat has me thinking I should: In a consumer use study, 90.5% of subjects agreed fine lines and wrinkles looked visibly reduced after six weeks of use. And it’s just one ingredient! Check out the reviews to find out more about why this item is Customer Top Rated.

Just a hunch, but I’m guessing this one is going to go lickety-split. So tune in at Midnight ET on Friday, March 16 to see Maureen Kelly demonstrate the goods before they’re gone.
