"My niece, the elf...my New Year's resolutions...toe-less socks...new fringe boots...the book I want to read, and get ready — Rick D. and I are coming to Tuesday nights in January (Fasten Your Seatbelts!)"

Hi all. Feel like I haven't written in forever. Christmas has been insane. And look, the buildup/lead-up is huge, and now with the coming and going of just one day, it's over! The Christmas songs on radio abruptly stop (hate that!) and everyone is now onto the new year. It's so jarring how quickly it's over. I hope you had a wonderful one. Take a look at a photo of my niece Sloane. Christmas morning, addicted to her new LeapPad I bought her, dressed in jammies that her "Candy Cane Nana" got her. She looks like an adorable elf in training.

P.S. Still listening to Christmas music. Michael Buble right now. Am bucking the trend and plan to start my own revolution. Have also been running to Charlie Brown Christmas songs.)

Going to Boston for the New Year. It's my brother's 47th birthday. No idea what our plans are, but even if we just get carryout, I'm taking sequin tunic and thoroughly plan to dress up on account of am convinced 2012 is going to be an awesome, blessed year full of cool surprises and I want to ring it in with style. Smiley Happy New Year resolutions? Not sure I really believe in resolutions, as most of year I try to enact these things, but do have some goals. Go to Italy for my 40th, run a mile without stopping (or wheezing), manage my time better and start arriving early instead of running perilously late all the time (terribly selfish habit), and stop playing with my hair when I'm nervous (because think I may go bald if I don't stop obsessively twirling bangs). That's my mild OCD kicking in. Oh dear. Looks like actually have work cut out for me in 2012.

So now that Christmas shopping is over, it's back to fun, fashion, and beauty. OMGosh, just found coolest new boots on QVC.com. A318896 Lamo Fringe Sheepskin Boots. Am totally getting. They are amazing. This year, as I look back on 2011, Lamo was my favorite brand of boots. Their sequin ones that look just like that "you know who brand" are customer top rated. I knew they would be from the minute I first glanced at them on a buyer's desk and begged to get them in one of my shows.

My favorite accessory of 2011 — the scarf. Namely, the infinity scarf. Brilliant idea. It's the dummy-proof scarf that instantly makes any T-shirt, tank, or dress totally chic, and creates this very high-class, trend-savvy muff around your neck. Love Isaac's A211196 Multi-textured Eternity Scarf and Joan's A217810 Fringed Knit Infinity Scarf. I actually wore Joan's in black on my birthday this year and left it at a restaurant. Was devastated for several days. BTW, you can't see it in this picture, but here's a snapshot of said birthday night with two of my good friends,

Kalina Gendel from Breezies and Rachel Pavis from Bethlehem Lights. (P.S. Bethlehem Lights has amazing lantern TSV coming up in January. Spectacular. It's not a fashion accessory, but a home accessory that I've become addicted to as well this year. Here's picture of said lanterns (H191067 Bethlehem Lights In/Outdoor 13" Classic Bronze Lantern with Timer and H191068 Bethlehem Lights In/Outdoor 17" Classic Bronze Lantern with Timer) all over my front stoop.

Trying to get cool new toe-less socks on QVC in new year. Lea Journo, hair stylist to the stars, turned me onto them when she was at QVC. And another A-list hairdresser, Rita Hazan, also loves them and sells them in her salon. They're called Peeky Toes. They come in cotton, but the really lush ones are cashmere and a little pricey, but I bought a pair for my mom who can't wear socks since she needs her toes free to grip the ground, but her feet are always cold. Such awesome slipper socks and summertime number with sandals. Apparently a lot of Hollywood folks wear them. Check out their website, such a clever idea. Smiley Happy

Big news in the new year! My QVC big brother Rick Domeier and I have a weekly show kicking off every Tuesday night from 10 p.m. to Midnight ET. We debut January 10. It's kind of a show about nothing that manages to be about something. Kinda like Seinfeld. Ha. Our little dysfunctional family, together every Tuesday night, to bring you cool stuff, while peppering in some ridiculously irrelevant entertainment like spontaneous dancing, a he said/she said segment, and a Facebook family member of the week. If you get picked, a very special freebie awaits you. Check out the pics we took for our photo shoot. I just love Rick. He's just like my older brother. Can make me snort-laugh at the drop of a hat by cracking joke about me. I actually laugh at that about myself. I'm an easy one to entertain. Smiley Happy

putting best face forward

push comes to shove

just having fun

more fun than you can handle

New book I want to read. Just must start making time for reading again. Tim Tebow's biography, Through My Eyes. I love that when he makes a killer play in football, he kneels on the field and points to God in thanks. Cool man. My mom gave me a cool coffee table book about angels for Christmas. Can't wait to read it.

Couple things to look for in coming weeks:

1/2 - Happy 2012! 11 p.m. ET edition of Shawn Says, "Accessorize!" (some cool 2012 stuff debuting)

1/6 - Joan Rivers at 1 p.m. ET. We'll ask her what her New Year's resolution is and what she did for New Year's Eve. Her answer should be wicked entertaining.

1/7 - Kirstie Alley is in the house on Saturday Morning Q at 10 a.m. ET.

1/9 - 10 p.m. to Midnight ET Isaac is ALLLLLLL clearance!

1/10 - Rick and I debut our show. Yes, it may be a hard to watch our train wreck, but we mean well. Smiley Happy

K, what else. I know most of you want me to change my lipstick color. I really want to, honest. But it's like light blue eye shadow. I'm addicted to my nude lips. Dark colors make me nervous. Perhaps next blog I should post a bunch of photos of me wearing different lipstick shades and you can vote? Ha. I'm sure you have much better things to do. Actually, think will need intensive intervention to break the nude lip thing. But maybe that should go on my New Year's resolution list.
