There's Magic in the Air

Hi PM Style ladies! Are we all recovered from the whirlwind Thanksgiving/Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend? I ate my fair share of Thanksgiving grub on Thursday and loved every minute of it. My mother-in-law put the turkey in a roasting bag this year and it came out so juicy and tender. My father-in-law hardly had to carve the bird — once you took a knife to it, it just started to fall off the bones. I was in charge of the stuffing and decided that I’m not making it ever again. I ate too much of it! Pumpkin pie, had 2 slices of it. Chocolates, had about a half dozen. Oh, and homemade cookies had my name all over them. Can you tell I have a sweet tooth? It was a sad night the following evening when we ate all our leftovers. Black Friday I was with you on air at QVC, so I didn’t do any shopping. I knew I wasn’t going shopping that day, so to make up for it, I bought two things for myself that week. In fact, those two purchases arrived today, and I can’t wait to go home and open them. I got my Women with Control dress from last week's PM Style and Chris Freytag’s popcorn maker. Steve and I are so excited to try the popcorn, I think we might stay up a little later than usual this evening just so we can try it out. I’ll let you know how both things work out. What did you do for the holidays? Were you cooking, shopping, or traveling? Or something else? Hard to believe it really is that time of the year where there's magic in the air and a buzz of excitement everywhere we go! Did you do any decorating? We officially have our tree up and now have a big mess in the family room, too. By the time we were done decorating, neither of us felt like putting all the boxes away, so that will also be a project for later in the week. I suppose it would be more responsible to stay up late and clean up tonight instead of having popcorn, but who wants to be responsible? Hope that whatever you did for the holiday week was enjoyable and relaxing. Don’t forget that next week's PM Style should be awesome. We have a sneak peek of Lisa’s Posh Presents show, so there will be several fun faces. Lori Goldstein is here, Isaac Mizrahi is here, and we will be back to three hours! Part of me wants to dress up, but I suppose I’ll wait until that Friday when Lisa and I join you for the “real” posh. Enjoy your week and I'll see you Monday for our usual get-together. See you soon, Amy
