A Beautiful Holiday

Well it’s that time of year again, when you mean to shop for other people, but end up shopping for yourself. Go on…you know you want to! And that’s okay because we're busy mothers, caretakers, working women, and superheroes that spend every waking moment trying to appease others. So, I’ve put together a list of items that I'd love to get for the holidays, and it really means something because I see tons of gift ideas here at the Q. Here are a few of my favorites:

Laura Geller Baked Body Frosting Deluxe Collection:  I LOVE this collection.  Laura is the queen of the Baked franchise, and no one else has formulas like it. How would you always like to look refreshed, and seem to glow from within? That’s why this is so cool. You get to try four different colors  to match each of your moods. You can even use them on your body (collarbone, anyone?)! If you don’t care for a particular shade, you have an instant gift for someone else!

For nails, I have two great ideas:

Perfect Formula Nail Essential Discovery Collection: It doesn’t get any better than this when it comes to your nails. If you want your nails to look awesome all the time, then this kit is for you. The famous Gel Coat comes in both pink and clear, along with the shiniest topcoat you’ve ever seen (not to mention a moisturizer for your cuticles!). I use the Gel Coat every time I polish my nails, and it lasts a long time. Also, it makes a super smooth base for your color enamel that you wear on top, which brings me to my next  idea…

Sephora by OPI 15-piece Holiday Collection: This is the coolest gift ever for the nail girl. OPI is a leader in the industry that not only makes the most amazing colors, but also makes incredibly rich formulas that apply well and last beautifully. If there are colors that you're not sure about, use them on your toes or slip them into someone’s stocking (after Santa has filled them, of course)!

While we’re on the subject of hands, you never want them to show your age. So, moisture is key, especially in these dryer winter months. Shea Butter is one of the most emollient ingredients that Mother Nature has given us, and no one uses more Shea Butter than L’Occitane.

L’Occitane Shea Butter Set of 5 Hand Cream Confections: A little goes a long way when it comes to these. They kind of hearken back to the day when women were at their most feminine, in terms of L’Occitane’s packaging and fragrance. They're these beautiful little silver tubes of fragrances like cherry blossom and hibiscus flower. A great gift box is included to make it special, but I’m always a fan of having little treats on hand to give to others. This fits the bill!

Now, I think there's only one name that comes to mind when talking about gifts that elicits squeals of delight, and smiles for days. This name is one that inevitably puts a  twinkle in the eye of the giver, and the receiver. The brand that always gets it right is…drumroll, please…philosophy! Now, I know this isn't a great surprise to anyone, but they exceed my expectations every year with the look and feel of every product. Here are just a couple of choices that I hope you enjoy (but remember, you cannot possibly do this wrong. This brand is positively goof-proof!):

philosophy mini grace fragrance wardrobe: Five fragrances! A combo of classic and newer grace fragrances to play with and enjoy. Who said you can never go home again? This makes me feel like I’m a kid playing around with my mommy’s perfumes, but I won’t get into trouble this time. It’s effortless to have a blast with this!

philosophy partridge in a pear tree shower gel: I haven't been without a philosophy shower gel in my shower for about seven years. It's simply the best. For me, nothing in the stores compares. It’s rich, creamy, and creates the most deliciously soft, plushy bubbles in the shower. Plus, you can’t help but love the amazing scent. In this case, it’s a sparkling, juicy scent of winter pear. The kind of fragrant pear that leaves sweet juice dripping down your chin. It’s not only delightful, but everyone in the house can use it!

So, whether you're shopping for others or yourself, I hope I've helped you cross some ideas off your list for the holiday season. We’re all in this together, right? It’s time that we band together and help each other out so we can FINALLY be done shopping by the beginning of December. We say we’re  going to finish shopping early every year, but it never quite happens. So, this is our year!

Tune in on Monday, November 21, for a day dedicated to "What a Girl Wants." You won't be disappointed.

Happy shopping!

 XO,

—Sharon
