Stay-cation 2014

For the last 4 years we have traveled to the Atlantis in the Bahamas for our big family summer vacation.  



We would spend most days at the pool and beach.  We played pinochle, read books, relaxed and let the warm tropical breeze blow the stress of life away.  It is nice not to have to clean, cook or do anything domestic for a week.  Ahhh......  {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

When it was time to plan vacation this year we thought about going back to Atlantis, we always had fun there, but after really thinking about it and talking to my sister we realized that with the exception of the beach we can do the same things here, at our home. We have the pool...



..we can play cards... have cake..



....and food....



...and I can overlook a little dust in my house for a week.  {#emotions_dlg.biggrin} (Well maybe not.)



Most importantly we are able to spend time with each other.  So, stay-cation it is!



We are planning to hit an amusement park, do a day trip to NY to see a show, play a little tennis, basketball, and/or golf.... 



 


I am also hoping to have a little time to start a new painting....hmmm.. I might need a vacation after our stay-cation!
