Roll Out The "Pink" Carpet

Did you know over the last two decades FFANY (The Fashion Footwear Association of New York) raised over 40 million dollars for Breast Cancer Awareness and Research? Each year they host a gala and this year marked its 20th Anniversary. It was held at the magnificent Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City and because of my new, "Leah Loves Shoes" show, I was honored with an invitation.

I had the opportunity to meet many survivors and supporters. The event included a "Shoe Salon" filled with amazing shoes for sale with the proceeds to benefit FFANY's efforts. The entire evening was a shoe lover's dream!

There was a "pink" carpet welcoming celebrities and guests and just a sea of pink everywhere. The tables were adorned in pink, the desserts were packaged in adorable, pink boxes, most women wore either pink shoes or a pink dress. I even saw one gentleman sporting a pink cast on his arm. I guess if you're stuck with a broken bone, you might as well, "heel" in style.

Next Thursday, October 10th, we will present our annual FFANY Shoes on Sale event from 6pm to 9pm. It’s one of their largest charitable events where everybody benefits. Money is raised to help the fight against breast cancer while shoppers and supporters get an incredible deal on fabulous shoes!

Thank you for continuing to support QVC and FFANY!

Warmest wishes,

Leah Williams
