Vera’s Gift Picks

by on ‎11-16-2012 02:46 PM

I challenge you to find a gift that isn’t available on QVC. I mean from iPads to diamond earrings to the hottest toy for the holidays…QVC has it all!  I have so many people on my Christmas list and each of them has a different personality. But shopping for my family isn’t an issue - you just have to know where to go.

Here are my top 5 picks for the 2012 holiday season:

1. Diamond Ring – I am obsessed with this ring. OBSESSED. It’s definitely a splurge item - I know. That’s why I’m throwing this request out to Santa. The Highway Ring comes in 14K yellow gold, 14K white gold and 14K rose gold.  This timeless piece will never go out of style.

2. Layers by Lizden Wrap – During the colder months, nothing feels better than being wrapped up in a cable knit sipping on a hot cup of cocoa. Layers by Lizden Marvelush designed a wonderful wrap that is priced right and comes in a variety of colors. This gift would be perfect for anyone from  your 20 year old cousin to your 85 year old grandmother. Everyone woman deserves a cozy knit.

3. David Venable’s Cookbook: Oh David. How I love your happy dance! As soon as David Venable came out with ‘In the Kitchen with David’, I jumped on the phone and pre-ordered his cookbook. I’ve been enjoying him as a host for years and wanted to support him in any way I could. Since the cookbook’s arrival, my family has enjoyed countless dishes of great comfort food. Even my husband gets involved in the kitchen. If that’s not a win... I don’t know what is?!

4. Lock & Lock: Confession time: I’m a little bit of a klutz and I tend to like to overstuff my refrigerator. That combination does not work in my favor on most days. It’s not unusual for me to knock a few things onto the floor while reaching around to the back of the fridge for leftovers. Talk about a mess! The Lock & Lock storage set is the perfect solution.

5. Temptations Oven-to-Table Set – Are you shopping for someone who loves to cook? Temp-tations is a line of bakers that are extremely versatile. You can bake, serve and refrigerate all in the same dish! This is very important for the busy mom.

Are you going to a family member’s house for the holiday? Why not make a special dish for them using Temp-tations and then tell them to keep it once the party is over?  What a wonderful hostess surprise!

And just for fun, here are a few (or 10!) other items you can also find on my wishlist right now:
