Happy International Day of Awesomeness!



Yes, it’s a real thing! Today is for celebrating everything and everyone that is awesome in your life, and I’m celebrating my awesome friends and all the joy and love they bring me every day.  I don’t know what I’d do without my friends to get me through some of the tough times and help me celebrate the triumphs. As wonderful as it all is, it’s bittersweet to watch your kids grow up and eventually head on to college and move out. The relationships I’ve built during this time have helped me grow into the person I am today. It’s like watching yourself grow as your kids grow, with your friends helping you along the way.  As the kids leave the house, a whole new world opens up and I have some amazing people in my life who have exposed me to different experiences.



For example, my good friend, Leah Williams took me to a Painting with a Twist class and I loved it so much that painting has now become one of my favorite pastimes. I used to paint a long time ago, but that day sparked something I hadn’t taken the time to enjoy for way too long. I recently painted a portrait of a friend here at QVC for her birthday and she loved it. The evolution of yourself is yours if you take time to recognize it (with your awesome friends cheering you on)!




Speaking of awesomeness, I’m so lucky to get to work with my best friend every day. Pat and I recently sat down to talk about our friendship (things got a little emotional – get the tissues out when you watch!) and we’re so happy to be able to share it with you during our shows. Now go call all your awesome friends and thank them for everything they do for you (I’m sure they’ll return the favor).
