Well, it's been a little over a week since the QVC trucks packed up and moved out of my driveway (actually, my street). We had a ball with the live remote! After months of preparation and planning and e-mails, it took two days to set-up my kitchen for a two-hour show. I have to say, it was worth every minute. Even the dogs had a good time! I think Cody became an honorary crewmember! David and I had the best time together! Now, in case y'all missed it, David brought his momma to my house to watch the remote and try some of my delicious peach cobbler from Smithfield Foods. I'm so glad she loved it as much as David did. I could tell by the look on her face, just like David. I guess the apple really doesn't fall far from the tree. Y'all loved my Chocolate Peanut Butter Gooey Butter Cake so much; I actually sold out of it! With summer rolling around fast, you might want to order one for your next get together! I hope to see y'all on QVC real soon, and until next time, I send y'all love and best dishes from my kitchen to yours!
I loved, loved, loved the show. Savanna is a beautiful place and I truly apprecate all you do. Thanks for being an inspiration to all of us
Paula's show with David was a pre-treat to an eagerly awaited trip to Savannah. Savannah was truly beautiful! We were also able to meet Paula, Jamie & Bobbie at a local ball game while we were in town. This family is truly the essence of what southern hospitality is! Paula & family thanks for making time for your QVC family & your fans.
I'm so happy I had a chance to meet you at you Lady and Son's in Savannah---I was there for a conference for school and it so happened that you were there. It's nice to see your smiling face all over TV and then in person. I'm from Minnesota and no on had EVER heard of HO CAKES....So, I started making them. Guess what? They were a hit and now you are so well known that no one stops talking about the HO CAKES!!! Thanks for the recipe and thanks for being so candid and honest. You are a special lady with a lot of talent. We'll be back in Savannah in early December and hope to run in to you again!!! Take care and thanks for all you've done for the public! You are fabulous!
Hi Paula, we were at Hilton Head Island last weekend and I thought of you as we were very close to Savannah. I have heard your restaurant is hard to get into. Since we live in Asheville, and can plan some mini trips, is there a good time of the year, or day of the week to visit your restaurant? I have your cookware set and just love it. :-x
I was very disappointed that all the cast iron is made in China. We have the BEST cast iron manufacturer in the world in the US. I'll be buying from them, until you bring your manufacturing into the USA, Paula. Shame on you for selling an inferior product!
Paula, could you please tell me if the hoecake pan, listed on your QVC pages is the one that you also make biscuits on? It looks different than the one I saw you use on one of your shows. I love to make biscuits and I want the one like I saw you use. I don't remember it having a handle. Oh yes, My sister and I watch your show religiously and have made many of the recipes you show. We go to the computer and print out the ones that we see you make on TV. I have a note book full of Paula Deen recipes. We also have your book, that you wrote about it not all being about cooking. Sure would love to get it autographed, just tell me where to send it and I will pay postage both ways. I only have one regret with you and that is that we are not neighbors or Sisters. Love ya Paula and your whole family. We also loved your beautiful wedding. And Jamie and Brooke. Now we are waiting to see that little hunk of another son you have to find a beautiful girl like Brooke.
