Gordon Ramsay, Lidia Bastianich, and The Fabulous Beekman Boys! What a Show!

Posted by David Venable QVC 1317073052
Hello, foodies!

I'm not sure there's a season more beautiful than fall. But the colorful foliage isn't my favorite part. Each autumn season, I look forward to the FOOD! I just can't get enough of those hearty comfort foods. And, I'm always thinking about which delicious dish I'm going to make next!

If you're like me, there's no way you can (well, should) eat mac & cheese plus a slice of apple pie every single day. So this Wednesday on In the Kitchen with David  PM Edition, we're making a lighter, yet incredibly flavorful recipe…my Garden Salad with ripe autumn pears, gorgonzola cheese, walnuts, and a cranberry dressing. Find out what else we have in store for Wednesday in the video below.

As I said, we have so much to celebrate this Wednesday in honor of our one-year anniversary of In the Kitchen with David  PM Edition. Join me, Gordon Ramsay, Lidia Bastianich, and the Beekman Boys at 9 p.m. ET.

Until then, here's your blog question for this week: What foods remind you most of the autumn season? Is it a hearty stew, creamy soup, or a game day chili? Share your autumnal ideas here! See you Wednesday.

Keep it flavorful!
David

P.S. Do you remember when Lidia Bastianich dropped by the QVC tent at the FOOD & WINE Classic in Aspen? Besides the event itself, we had time to discuss a few other things…like wine! Here's that interview with our beloved chef.

Hi Dave, I really love your show. I watch you both Wednesday night and Sunday afternoon. I would love to have a cup of coffee with you while I am watching. Perhaps you can suggest to the "powers that be" to offer the viewers a coffee mug with their favorite host picture on it. I would certainly love one

Hi David,

I don't think any food says FALL better than a warm apple pie with just the right amount of cinnamon. Even better-pick your own apples for that pie !!!

See you Wednesday.

I love the smells from the kitchen in the fall. I think my favorite is Homemade Bread with a good hearty soup -- Vegetable, Cheesy Broccoli, Chicken Corn. Then Paula Deen's Pumpkin Bars for dessert. Yum.

{#emotions_dlg.sad} Hi David! Since I live in South Florida there is no Fall Season. Still very hot and the only leaves falling from the trees are dying of heat ha ha. But we make the best of fall and like to make apple pie, cooked cinnamon apples, pumpkin bread, and autum soup. Love you and your shows and all of my QVC kitchen purchases.

I absolutely cannot wait until the weather cools down to prepare my spicy sausage chili - I cook it slowly all day or in the crock pot...either way it comes out perfectly every time...it even won first place a few years back in our local chili cook off!

My favorite is Spicy Italian Sausage Cabbage Soup with warm french bread and butter. My husband likes this, but I think his favorite is a big pot of chilli. We REALLY enjoy the show, David.

The soup is loaded with whatever veggies -- of course cabbage, onion, carrots, broccoli, zucchini, yellow squash, red beans, rice, chicken broth, water, wine and Italian sausage.

Hi David

I like to cook anything in my Cooks E. pressure cooker and my slow cooker from Cooks E. Even tho I'm retired I still use my slow cooker. In the spring I look forward to grilling. In the fall, anything using the above 2 items. I especially love a good pot roast, chile and Hungarian Goolash. Then there's that good old sour kraut - yummie, actually anything that makes the kitchen smell good and my 2 dogs sit up and bark......(and they do)

See you on the show tonite,

Lynn
