Building My Diamonique Wardrobe!

I LOVE jewelry!  Can I say that again?  I LOVE jewelry!  There, it’s out of my system.  Whew!

I’ve loved jewelry since I was a little girl.  Whenever my parents went on a trip without us (5 kids), they would bring back a little something for us (probably out of guilt for having fun without us).  One of those little “somethings” came from a trip they took out West.  It was a silver heishi bead and turquoise nugget necklace and bracelet set.  Do you know I still have that set after all these years?

Coming from the gemstone jewelry world, I couldn’t wait to see what QVC had to offer.  I was shocked at the collection!  Not only is it vast, but the quality is, frankly, wow!  One of the lines that surprised me the most is Diamonique.  I had no idea how beautiful the jewelry was until I began to work with the line.  I mean, who needs diamonds when there’s Diamonique?  (Ok, we all do, but still.)  I’ve discovered it’s a terrific compliment to my colored gem pieces.

Anyway, I want to begin building my Diamonique wardrobe.  So far, I have the watch Lisa Mason helped design and a bangle bracelet.  Since many of you have been purchasing Diamonique for nearly 25 years, I would love to hear how you started your collection and what “staple/essential” pieces you feel I should have in my wardrobe.  What is the first piece of Diamonique jewelry that you purchased.

Hi, Nancy. I enjoy shopping with you in the mornings. I especially love Diamonique! My first purchase was a line bracelet and OMG it was beautiful! That was just the beginning of what has been a wonderful and fun time. I own lots of Diamonique now and will always be on the lookout for that one more special piece that I just have to have. Take my advice, if it makes your heart go pitter patter, then you need it. Buy it - or it will drive you crazy!

Happy Shopping!

Hi Nancy, like you I too LOVE jewelry of all kinds, real and fashion. I watched your diamonique show while I got ready for work this morning.

Just had to let you know just how ADORABLE your new hair style is!!! I am loving it on you! You're a beautiful woman inside and out. I think of your cancer story and applaud you for publicly sharing it with us. I've had a few family members with various cancers, all who have passed at this point but not necessarily of their cancers (more of just plain old age!) so I understand what you've been through.

But you're a strong survivor and that's apparent! I enjoy very much watching you on the Q - keep up your great work! Susan

Hi Nancy,

My first was a 14kt tennis bracelet also. I still have it to this day some 15 yrs later! But I have to tell you that Gregg Ruth's line is soooooo AMAZING!! I have 3 of his pieces that I have bought in the last 3 weeks & will be adding as many as I can before they are all gone! I have been trying desperately to find out if he is coming back to QVC since all of his items are on clearance. I am very afraid he will not!!! Do you know???

Anyway happy buying!

Can you tell me if the Lisa Mason designed watch can be extened. I have a wrist that demands a size 7 3/4 at least. I admired her from her first show. So as she has take a new road I would like to have this as a tribute. Also I love opals, and cameo's. Not the trend but as you have the gem back ground maybe you can direct a few pieces for vintage sake. Much love for you and continued blessings.

Hi, Nancy. Good luck with your Diamonique wardrobe and also as the new Diamonique DIVA. I am wondering why we are not seeing Joseph Esposito more on the Discover Diamonique shows? He used to appear almost every show with 2-3 pieces, and I really, really miss him and his new designs. Hopefully there is much new from Joe down the pike?!! If not in diamonique, I would love to see him go back to designing more simply sterling designs, like he started out on the Q - if you will please pass this on. Thank you, Nancy; best wishes. Cheryl

Hi Nancy,

I bought my first piece of Diamonique (a sterling eternity band) about 6 or 7 years ago. I wore it alot and one of the stones fell out and I returned it to QVC and they replaced it with no problem. I was so thrilled with the diamonique and QVC that I have been a loyal customer to both ever since. I have earrings, rings (my favorite), and bought gifts for others. I have sterling, Epiphany, and 14k gold. I have not ventured to a tennis bracelet yet but have been tempted many times. I am currently looking for a new ring for my right hand and something to wear with my wedding band or in place of it. Is it me or have the number of Diamonique shows drastically reduced? I don't see any on the schedule for the next 3 weeks. I love some of the new designer creations in sterling but when I'm looking for something to wear everyday I'd prefer it to be in gold or Epiphany. Seems like they've reduced the number of offerings of those. Maybe you could put a word in! Smile

Hi Nancy,

First, let me compliment your new hair style. You look fabulous - it really plays up your delicate features which you can really see now!

I also adore jewelry and my favorite is the Epiphany line. My newest piece is the 100 facet cushion cut 1 carat solitaire. I wear it with my genuine diamond white gold eternity band and nobody would even question if it is the real deal. I could never afford a genuine 1-carat solitaire so Diamonique is the answer to my dreams. My only request of QVC is I wish they would carry 1/2 sizes in rings. There are many rings I have to pass on because they cannot be sized. Maybe you can pass this request along to the powers that be. It's been requested many times in the forums from others who wear 1/2 sizes.

Keep up the great hosting - I really enjoy you!

Hey Nancy,

I do rememebr my first purchase at QVC...it was about 15 yrs ago. I was in Tulsa, visiting, and channel surfed...I saw a pink Diamonique sterling ring and I thought it was so pretty and sparkly....I picked up the phone and that was the beginning. I was young then and now I am "older" and I still have that ring and I still buy my jewelry on QVC. The two items I think a gal needs is a simple stud diamonique dangle earring and a tennis bracelet. These are my go 2's when I cannot figure out what will work or I am in a rush...they are easy.

You have a big fun laugh and it makes me laugh too. I love laughing. You seem to enjoy your time and you are very natural. You and Rick make a great team.

Best regards,

BlueDove

Does anyone know if Nancy Hornback's sterling heart ring with glittery stones is available on QVC? Thanks!

Hi Nancy!!

I have so many pieces of Diamonique, I couldn't possibly remember which one came first! I wear them so often, I lost track. I especially love the Tacori and Joseph Esposito lines because of the intricate details on each piece. The funny thing is, though, that my all-time favorite pieces are from the grey diamonique line that QVC used to have. I wish an occasional grey piece could be brought back once in a while. I've tried to order grey diamonique from QVC UK, but they won't ship to the United States. Since grey diamonique is still being made for England and such, couldn't a few pieces make their way over here? It's truly beautiful, and a smidgen more realistic-looking than the pure white Diamonique, although I love that, too. You're a great host for Diamonique...every piece looks great on you!
