Introducing Rosetone Bronzo Italia Jewelry!

Posted by David - QVC Gold Buyer 1339085707.29
I just got home from the Vicenza International Jewelry Fair and the Las Vegas Jewelry Fair. I'm thrilled to report that rosetone jewelry is one of the most important trends in the industry. Rose has always been a key color choice, but it has taken on a life of its own. The launch of our Bronzo Italia collection captures the significance of this trend and offers the most beautiful color of jewelry I've witnessed in my 19-year career at QVC.
There are two items that I am really excited to present with Antonella.  The first one is our first ever Bronzo Italia watch, J270754.  This watch represents the height of fashion with its style and design.  It's a bold, sleek watch which is great since big watches have been trending this year. The design of the dial is gorgeous and very high-end couture looking.

Another item that I believe deserves a call is the luxurious multi rolo link bracelet, J270822.   I love the textured multiple rolo links in the soft rose color. The bracelet comes with the stunning magnetic clasp that makes it so easy to wear.

We also have a beautiful rose-colored bronze gemstone ring in labradorite or tiger's-eye that's sure to be a conversation piece in J270749.

Bronzo Italia combines rosetone with the artistry and craftsmanship of the best of Italian factories to create modern, trend-right designs. Alternative metals are very important in jewelry, and this bronze collection makes QVC relevant and important as a leader in the industry. Don't forget to tune in this Sunday, June 10 for our first-ever Bronzo Italia Jewelry show at 8am ET.

Can the Q offer the wonderful browny-rosey color of the ORIGINAL Bronzo d'Italia line (that you discontinued, despite the rave reviews and sellouts?) along with this rose colored line?

I don't understand why the original line was discontinued, as it was very popular and it was unique.

Just watched the presentation of this beautiful bronze jewelry but am confused - is this jewelry solid bronze or bronze plated? i also watched Honora bronze/pearl shows and the described their Italian bronze pieces as bronze plated . maybe Honora partnered with another Italian manufacturer that uses bronze plating?

I'm also confused and would appreciate clarification from QVC. When Lisa Robertson presented the Bronzo Italia line, she emphasized that each piece was rose-colored throughout ("from start to finish") because of the alloy that was used to make each piece. However, later presentations (with David Markstein, QVC's Gold Buyer) included the word "plating". I hope the rose color in all the Bronzo Italia pieces isn't coming from a layer of plating! It would be disappointing to see it wear off over time. I love Honora, but haven't ordered any of their rose pieces, because they've consistently been described as "plated".

I'm loving the new Bronzo Italia line. I have several pieces on order. Looks like my UPS man will be very busy in September. Would love to see an ankle bracelet in this line. Could it be made to match J111338? I think the Diamond-cut Confetti pattern would look stunning. Thank you.

Dear David,

The Bronzo Italia line is fabulous. Can you convince them to create a matching San Marco necklace to match the bracelet? And perhaps a highly polished bangle?

With thanks,

I posted on the jewelry forum about a stud earring I would like for you to find. It will look kind of like a coin pearl only larger and mayber flatter. I saw it in copper (look at the jewelry forum thread), and I would love to see this style in all three colors and maybe a hammered finish. I would love to see these in about half inch size. I could see this as a TSV in different sizes, finishes and colors.

David - you HAVE to put the truth in the title! If it is filled with junk i.e., resin or silicone or who knows whats next, it should say it in the TITLE!!! If it is electroform, if should say it in the TITLE.

It is misleading and not everyone owns a computer. Some of the hosts don't even mention it.

Also I think QVC could do better than selling 14k at $100 per gram. Not a "value". Please don't site the price of gold. We all know. I follow it every single day. But when QVC buys 10,000 of a piece you can give us a better price than $100 a gram. Scrap value is only around $23-26 per gram so c'mon. BTW, I just bought a 21 gram bracelet for $599.00 on ebay with free shipping too! QVC's price would be $2100 easy!

Hi David,

I wanted to let you know how much I am looking forward to receiving my bronzo italia jewelry-I have order quite a lot. I do have a couple of requests:

1. please make stud ball earrings (5-6mm?) in bronzo italia

2. please give us detailed instruction on the care and storage of the bronzo italia jewelry

a. how to clean normally and how to clean if tarnished (or is it hopeless at that point)

b. how to store the bronzo italia jewelry-should we store in original boxes, in safekeeper boxes/bags?

Thank you, Dottie

Hi David, Could you please bring a Bronzo Italia slightly heavy polished snake chain of some sort in different sizes for all of the pendants.

David Markstein,

PLEASE get CLIP-ON earrings in Bronzo Italia! What's the point of buying this new color, if I don't have earrings to match?

Thank you,

Hi, I really enjoy the Bronzo Shows, do you think that a Brozo Button earring could be made. It should be not to small but a good size button with an omega back. I would buy it !! Please try, I would deeply appreciate it.

Thank you, Maggie Daivs

Hello David! This is my first time writing to you, and I'm doing so because I have a suggestion regarding your Bronzo Italia line. I've just ordered my first piece (the 18" double rolo chain) that you and Jill presented not too long ago. A couple of years ago, I got the stainless steel/rose tone plated and gemstone cross, made in Italy and designed by SIMONA COLLINI, which was originally presented by Lisa Robertson on a live from Italy show. My suggestion is that you ask SIMONA COLLINI to design some more pieces for QVC in the Bronzo Italia line! This seems like a natural fit to me, and I think her designs and creativity would be very well served with Bronzo Italia... I loved her designs and would have liked to see more of her work! Please consider renewing your relationship with her. I love the cross she did, but the rosetone finish is wearing, especially on the bail, which is not an issue with Bronzo Italia. Thanks very much for considering my request. Happy Holidays and please keep the great Italian designs coming.

Hi David! Thanks for bringing us such beautifully crafted rose bronze jewelry from Italy. I hope you'll consider my request. Please offer more pieces in an everyday, smaller scale. For example, I would love to buy an all-bronze tank style watch that isn't as wide or heavy as all of the other Bronzo watches. I'm also looking for more rings that are 1/2" or less (top to bottom). I love the one Bronzo bracelet I was able to buy. It's 7 1/4" long and just under 1/2" wide. It would also be great to find more Bronzo hoop and drop earrings that are smaller in scale. Thanks so much and keep up the great work! Last edited on 3/18/2013

I am enjoying the several peices of Bronzo Italia jewelry that I have kept. I have had to return quite a few selections because they were so oversized. I also feel the line is becoming too expensive. Yes they are designed/made in Italy but the metal itself has no value as in sterling/gold. My question is why shouldn't this line be more in line with the pricing from Steel by Design?

I'm still waiting for smaller scale pieces in Bronzo. Would LOVE to see earrings, bracelets and necklaces that weren't so bold. Like the color of Bronzo and get complements on the set of 3 bracelets I purchased but haven't bought anything else because the scale is to big. Will Bronzo come out with smaller scaled pieces for us petite women ???
