This Week: Get Your Fash-On!

replies

Fashion week is an inspiring time for women everywhere to take note of what we see on the sleek runways and stylish events, and to incorporate it into our own daily wardrobes. This season, look out for a ladylike silhouette and demure cuts on everything from blouses and dresses to beautiful coats. Fashion week in New York City and across the United States is February 9-13. QVC and Isaac Mizrahi have some amazing items we are featuring and you can see a sneak peek here:

In this video, Isaac talks about what encompasses 'ladylike' fashion. This is something that is totally on-point as a trend for 2012, but has always been a key to Isaac Mizrahi's design philosophy and why everyone from celebrities to everyday gals let him dress them every day. Below are some of the items coming to QVC later this week so be sure to check back and shop the Ladylike Trend on Friday and Saturday! You can also view the entire QVC Spring 2012 Look Book here.

We are so excited to showcase this gorgeous feminine trench coat this week A220496 that creates a stream-lined and lady like silhouette while still giving you an amazing and fun pattern to brighten up any day.

And if you are going to wear a cardigan - the 'it' item of this season - make sure that it is made by the top designer who knows how to design a luxurious fit that will take you from day to night. Made special for fashion week this year, we are proud to introduce A220444.

Finally, I am so happy to get the chance to add this fabulous dress to my spring 2012 wardrobe:  A220649. When we brought it out to the design meeting during our Fashion Week preview, I immediately pre-ordered it in Tomato Red. It is the perfect ladylike look in a very easy piece that requires little accessorizing. (My favorite!)

Hope you can tune in for our special Fashion Week show! See you there. :)

Well Issac, your clothes no doubt are beautiful. However, your sizing is not universal. I purchased your Animal Printed Button Front Coat with lining. The medium was snug; too snug to live with it. The large was waaaay too large. Hips fit well, chest and shoulders were huge. So, for those of us with petite, pear shaped figures, what can you do for us? I'll volunteer to be a pattern model for you so you can reach the thousands of us who love your work but can't fit them.

Hi Cutie pie Issac, I love your ponte pants for petites. I had brought all the styles you have in them. I was so glad to see that someone cares enough to make pants for us little women. Anyway PLEASE PLEASE make ponte pants in "capri" style for the spring. They much better then the same old leggings everyone sells and they hide all our sins ;) . Ponte is dressy and casual material so don't STOP making them. THANKS SO MUCH!!

I loved watching the two shows about NY fashion week. I really liked Isaac's pieces, particularly the mandarin flower pieces. I'm just bumped that I'm only 5'2" and the beautiful mandarin flower trench coat is so long. I have a talented tailor who alteres many of my cloths, but the way of the pattern it would not look right to cut off 5" from the bottom and take out that much black...would have been nice to have a larger black space so that even with some altering it still looks right. Maybe something to think about next time, plese consider petite women when designing patterns so that your cloths can be altered. Love watching Isaac's shows every Monday as well. Keep up the great work!
