Oh my Gosh! I say that in my best southern draw/damsel in distress accent possible. If you walked into my life today, you would probably think I was a hoarder! Guilty. My name is Courtney Cason and I am QVC’s newest host and I am trying to put my life back together after moving almost 800 miles from Atlanta, GA where I was born and raised. After two weeks without my clothes, furniture, oven mitts, and other odd things of that nature… everything finally arrived this past Sunday and was thrown on the floor, literally (Please see picture below of me in my closet). I have to say, I took silverware for granted, and for that I am sorry. It got really old having plastic spoons snap in my face from all the ice cream I was eating in the RIDICULOUS Philadelphia heat. If there’s one thing you should know about me, I am a food junkie. It’s so exciting being in a new city and getting to try all the “new” restaurants. I discovered my love for food when I attended the University of Mississippi (Hotty Toddy!) and got to experience some of that “Home grown soul food.” It was also during that time I discovered I had a cholesterol problemJ.
Do you ever look into your closet and think “I have nothing to wear,” yet your closet couldn’t possibly hold one more hanger? I spent around 20 minutes this morning in my closet trying to figure out what I was going to wear. I’ll never get those 20 minutes back. Those minutes could have gone towards something infinitely more cool… like, I don’t know… sleeping in or maybe brushing my hair (Hence the sarcasm!). My winter sweaters have mingled into my dresses… and my jeans…Well, I know I own quite a few pairs but I am hoping the movers put them in their own unidentified closet that I obviously haven’t found yet.
When you walk into QVC it’s hard to take your eyes off of the fashionistas that walk the hallways who are so immaculately dressed. If there’s one thing I’m working on, it’s my style. But let’s be honest, who isn’t? I always feel it’s an uphill battle when I purchase clothing. If I get a blouse I find myself asking, what do I wear for bottoms? Jeans? What kind of jeans? Boot cut? Dark wash? Low rise? What about a skirt? A-Line? Pencil? WHEN DOES IT END?!?!
Every week in my blog I will post a “Style Pick of the Week.” Since I can’t find jeans and have only been able to locate ONE of my skirts (GEEZE!) … I’m going with a dress (see below). Simple and to the point. So, please enjoy this gorgeous Isaac Mizrahi Dress in the Candy Pink or Tidal Wave combo with this rockin’ belt by Amiee Lynn in either pink or blue. My hands shake because I can’t order this fast enough! What I do need your help with putting this outfit together with a great pair of shoes! PLEASE post your ideas of shoes that would be great with this outfit that can be found on QVC.com! I’m so excited to see everyone’s take on the outfit with shoes!

Next time I talk with you I’ll be back from the Dominican Republic and probably some ungodly shade of burnt red skin. So here’s to Aloe, Cold Showers, and Frizzy Hair! Don’t worry, I’ll be posting pictures!
Love, Courtney
