Hi there! I thought I would take a moment to give the dedicated QVC Birkenstock customer a little insight on my history with the brand.
My parents are from Vienna, Austria with my father's side stemming from Germany so I was lucky enough to spend some time overseas while growing up. On one particular trip, when I was 16, we took a side trip to Germany to visit family there and I bought my first pair of Birkenstock sandals. They were white leather two strap sandals (some may know these as the Arizona) with white soles. I can remember thinking how comfortable they were but little did I know they would become more to me than just the shoes on my feet.
After graduating college at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC I moved to Wilmington, NC and got a job as a buyer for a Birkenstock specialty store chain, Birkenstock Comfortable Soles. This is where I really learned WHY the shoes were so comfortable - the details of the contoured footbed, the quality materials they were made of, and all the benefits that come with wearing the shoes.
I worked for Comfortable Soles for over three years and am now lucky enough to represent a product on QVC that is so easy to believe in and stand behind! Hope this helps give you a little more insight into who I am and where I come from. I am very excited to be here and look forward to spending time with all of you!!!
