My love of boats & an exciting Today's Special Value from Ryka!

Last Reply by Tlmslp 1367682303.49 | Started by Kerstin Lindquist in Wellness & Health, All About Accessories, TSV Talk

There was a time in my life when I lived literally on the water.  I had just met my husband to be and he lived on a boat that was, shockingly, bigger than my tiny beach side apartment (mine was actually half of a converted basement, I could touch all the walls If I stretched out far enough.)  Part of what got me to give my hubby a second look was the fact that he lived on a boat.  My father had taught me to be a big boater and I spent as much time as possible out on the water.  I traveled with my family by boat, stayed on one abroad in Amsterdam for a while, even spent... Yonanas Tips & Tricks -- Just Call Me a "Yo-Pro"

Last Reply by xavierdaddysgirl 1367259494.97 | Started by Kerstin Lindquist in Kitchen & Food Talk, Wellness & Health, Mom to Mom Blogs

I always get asked how I stay in shape and what I eat and if I have some crazy limited diet.  The truth is I am always looking to try and eat and feed my family in as healthful a way as possible, but I love bread, cheese, wine, and I loooove desert. Ice cream is one of my favorites.  So Yonannas was a very exciting prospect for me.  Now that I have become a Yo-Pro (yes, I made that up and I know I am a nerd) I thought I would share some of my tips and recipes with you. 1) Its super simple:  I am a juicier so I am used to numerous pieces to have to clean and weird attachmen... "You Want the Razor?": My Experience with the Emjoi Micro-Pedi Tornado

Started by Kerstin Lindquist in Beauty Banter 1365444564.843

I called my husband from San Diego on the second night of the Susan G. Komen 3-day Walk for Breast Cancer . I was doing my now well-practiced routine of soaking my feet after each 20-mile day and inspecting for blisters and potential problems that could take me out of the walk the next day. I always had the right shoes and socks and always slathered my feet in petroleum jelly each day so blisters weren't going to take me out of the game like they did so many walkers each year. But this year, there was something odd with my heels. It must have been the way I was wearing the last 60 miles... Continue Reading

Help Us Adopt - Part 2

Last Reply by Debbie1010 1367571507.687 | Started by Kerstin Lindquist in The Q We Love, Hosts & Personalities, Mom to Mom Blogs

“My husband put a poll on Facebook to see how long it would take me to cry.” That’s how my speech at the Helpusadopt.org Nieman Marcus fundraiser started.   “I don’t think even he expected it would be before I got us to speak.” True, I was crying before CEO Becky Fawcett even said my name.  In the few minutes before my part of the program Becky explained helpusadopt.org and its success at helping people adopt by easing the financial burden, and in turn, placing children in loving homes.   It’s a process that costs on average... Host Kerstin Lindquist explains why she loves her HALO!

Last Reply by CorieClark 1364838302.977 | Started by Kerstin Lindquist in Electronics Talk, Hosts & Personalities, TSV Talk

The surprise hit on my Christmas list last year was the HALO. I bought a whole bunch for the ever difficult “man” gifts and then one in pink leopard for myself. I hear the guys use them all the time, but let’s be honest; I am more concerned about me. It's a lifesaver!!!  I’m sure this happens to you when you are gone from your house for more than 6 hours at one time: your phone battery dies, your  tablet loses charge, you don’t have access to an outlet other than begging a store clerk to let you plug in or hovering around the outlets at the airport.&nb... Temp-tations - the gift that keeps on giving

Last Reply by MaryG1959 1363267257.927 | Started by Kerstin Lindquist in Kitchen & Food Talk, Temp-tations, Mom to Mom Blogs

It was a simple email that came in from a friend.  Someone we both knew casually needed some help.  Her husband was fighting cancer and she was struggling to keep the family together, the kids thriving, and her world from collapsing.  The idea was to get a big group of people together and sign up for one or two night a week to deliver food to the family during the six months her husband would be going through treatment.  There is a program on line that helps organize and track who is delivering what meal when, it’s as simple as that.  What wasn’t simple for...
