I love the Biblical account of the very first Christmas. The wise men came “bearing gifts” to give to the Christ child. We all have great childhood memories of the best gifts we ever received. However, when we become adults I think we find more joy in giving great gifts to the people we love the most at Christmas time.

If the NFL Players’ Union and the NFL owners do not hammer out a deal this week then the first week of pre-season probably will be canceled. In my opinion, this crazy lock-out has gone on way too long. It is the first work stoppage since 1987. If the first week of pre-season is canceled it will cost the NFL a total of $250 million in revenues. In those three hours I danced more than I have in the last three years (other than when I work out to my Zumba Fitness DVD’s.) I have to tell you that I have NEVER had SO MUCH FUN working out! I woke up with an extremely sore and stiff lower back. I have been taking golf lessons the past couple of weeks and my homework assignment is to take 100 swings a day in front of a mirror. I have been doing that faithfully for about a week and a half and I even went to the driving range one day after this exercise. Since I have scoliosis the twisting motion of the golf swing is not the best for my lower back.

Many of you have asked me to write more about him so here is a little story about an early morning walk we took together earlier this week.
