Happy 1st day of spring! I was truly inspired by the sights and smells of the Philadelphia Flower Show that I thought I would share with you some of the lovely photos from that day.  I can’t wait to begin planning my garden! I hope that you will share your garden pictures with me as we plant together this year.  Let the warmth of the sunshine and fragrances of the flowers warm your heart on this first day of spring!     Continue Reading

I had such a wonderful time at the Philadelphia Flower show this past weekend! This year's ARTiculture theme was very interactive and also very inspiring for me as I had the chance to create this really fun terrarium (I actually made two). lol.. Remember when we made these back in the day!??  One of the "HOT ITEMS” this year on the PHS Garden Trends report is Indoor Gardens, so I thought I would be "Trendy" and make one.. you too can get inspired by checking out our “Hot List”.  I hope to encourage you to make a terrarium for your window sill or as a fun way to ma... I wanted to share the excitement of Nicole's prom and ask you for your memories too...   The prom is very different these days than when I went to school...for the record I only went to my junior prom...my mom made my eyelet long gown and my date had me home by midnight..our prom was in the elementary school cafeteria, which the junior class decorated in the theme of "Color My World" with a paper rainbow...great memories from days gone by... Nicole's school only has a senior prom so every girl is hoping to be asked...Last week during a fund raiser for the senior class sh... Continue Reading

What One Item Do You Break Out For Spring?

Last Reply by WVwildflower 1395497312.413 | Started by Pat James Dementri in Fashion Talk, Hosts & Personalities, All About Shoes

I asked my winter weary friends what one item do they break out for Spring, that one item that signals to them that Spring is here.  For me, as I count the days to Spring, I am using a self-tanner and getting a pedicure...and I am looking forward to setting my feet free from my winter boots that they have been living in for months..look out Spring I need some sunshine for my sandals! Jennifer, Kerstin, Jayne, Shawn, Mary Beth, and Leah also share their break out for Spring item.  SO what is the one item that you break out for Spring?   Jennifer Coffey:  Pat... Continue Reading

It is hard to believe that we are already almost through one month in a brand new year…normally I do not think it would affect me but to be honest with you I feel like a kid on her bike who is dragging her feet so things do not go so quickly… It must truly be the mom of a senior in high school syndrome…college applications, visits and financials almost all decided until the spring deadline….prom dress already purchased but no worries about the date.  It is a new world when you buy the dress then work on the date but I am loving the idea that many kids now go... Senior Mom Blog - Homecoming

Fall and football season has always been one of my favorite times of the year...the sound of the band and crisp fall air makes for the perfect Friday night in high school...hence the homecoming game as a senior is another memory of a lifetime...   Friday afternoon was the pep rally and tailgating but the rain came...disappointing but the game went on that night.  No team victories or homecoming court but lots of school team spirit...Nicole and her friends looked wonderful for the dance as I struggled to imagine them looking so grown up...then I struggled to get in my car and go hom... Have you ever bought a special gift for someone that you really would have liked to keep for yourself? I guess that is where Jayne's saying, “If you buy one, get one for me” is appropriate….our gift in Fashionably Early is something I know I would love to give and/or receive.  Any guesses what is inside of our box this week?
