My life has changed dramatically in the last few years, as I know many of your lives have too…I'm still working hard to find my new normal! That's why it is so important to me to volunteer my time and give back to my community. I find it fulfilling and grounding.
Even though my daughter Nikki has moved on to college, I still enjoy the opportunity to give back to the local high school in my area. I find incredible fulfillment volunteering with the dancers and students...and what I have received in return has been much more than I could ever dream.
I thought I would share some memories ... Continue Reading

One of the biggest challenges in my life is finding quality time to spend with my friends. I'm sure you can relate…you get so focused on what you need to do…you end up procrastinating what you want to do! Life's short, ladies. Go out and play!
For some weekend fun, I decided to spend some time exploring a local antique store I'd been meaning to visit with my pal Wendy. The Brandywine Valley in Pennsylvania is a mecca for treasure hunters like me. There are antique shops around every bend…and Brandywine View Antiques always catches my eye. It's a beautiful white Victoria... Continue Reading

The start of spring has always meant Easter in my world. It was a time to make memories and enjoy fun times with my family. Growing up, I remember one of my favorite things was receiving new Easter outfits. They were complete with Easter hats, a purse, and patent shoes for church…I felt so stylish! Here I am on Easter with my sister Deb and my father.
Of course, I continued the tradition with my daughter, Nikki. This is when she was little, dolled up in her own Easter best.
And here is the only picture I have of her visiting the Easter bunny.
As a kid I always looked forw... Continue Reading

Life List #1: Negative Space Nails
Want to know what's more fun than a bucket list? A Life List!! :) I decided to start my own, full of fun, simple ways to treat myself, try something new...and bring a smile to my day.
I thought a cool way to kick things off was to try Negative Space Nails. I have been seeing this trend a lot lately, in magazines, on talk shows…you name it! In this type of manicure, part of your nail is left unpainted so your natural nail color pops in the design. The secret is to place half a paper reinforcement sticker or a piece of painters tape over t... Continue Reading

A few weeks ago I was delighted to attend the preview gala for the Philadelphia Flower Show. Friday marks the first day of spring, but back then in the middle of winter…believe me when I tell you that there was nothing better than stopping to smell the tulips! :)
In case you didn't know, the Philadelphia Flower show is one of world's oldest and largest indoor flower shows. Every year it has a different, creative theme, and this year the theme was Celebrate the Movies.
The entrance, which was designed to look like a red carpet for a movie premiere, was created by our very own Bar... Continue Reading
