By now I’m sure you’ve heard me mention Wardrobe Warrior™ various times, but what exactly does Wardrobe Warrior™ mean?
Wardrobe Warrior™ is both a personal style method, and a lifestyle. It’s a way of building your wardrobe so that you can pull together a stylish look in a pinch. It’s a way of packing for a trip so that one piece of carry-on luggage can last you your entire trip. It’s a way of streamlining your look in a way that allows your personal taste to shine through every one of your outfits, without you spending hours to pull it together... Continue Reading

No matter what, we can always count on leggings, right? They’re easy to throw on, and are always one of the most comfortable options in our wardrobes. However, it can be tricky styling them for any occasion that isn’t casual. They can sometimes make us appear under-dressed, and that’s due to both the quality of the leggings, and how we style them.
This is what inspired me when designing my Women with Control® Basic Pull-On Legging (available in three lengths, item # A27605). I knew that my Women with Control® fabric would be perfect for this classic item; its 54% cot... Continue Reading

The white button front shirt is a classic item. However, it is usually modeled after the menswear version and often could use a bit more Attitude. When I decided to take on the design challenge of revamping the white shirt, I wanted to make sure that it was something that honored the history of it while making it work perfectly with my Women with Control® and Attitudes by Renée® collections. Staying true to the Wardrobe Warrior™ method, the New White Shirt had to fit seamlessly into your wardrobe; it had to be easy for you to build an outfit with it.
In order to make su... Continue Reading

Back in March I shared on my Facebook page photos from my visit to Murray Hill Radiology and Mammography for my yearly mammogram. Women 40 and over should get a Mammogram done every year. I know that it can be a scary and intimidating process to go through, and I hope that by sharing my experience I can lessen some of those fears and even be a reminder to you to get yours done. Yes, I am telling you to please take the time to get your mammogram. It’s just as important to take care of yourself as you do for all of your loved ones.
One of the many things that make getting a mammogram in... Continue Reading

Chag Sameach to you and your loved ones.
I love holidays, and being able to celebrate them with loved ones is something I cherish deeply.
The beginning of this week marked the start of Passover, the Jewish holiday commemorating the liberation by God of the Jewish people from slavery in ancient Egypt. We begin this holiday with Seder dinner; a family feast where we retell the story of our liberation and eat symbolic foods that represent the story of Passover and celebrate our freedom.
Most of the day on Monday was spent preparing for Seder dinner. Among the many dishes I prepared, I made my ... Continue Reading

One of the most important things I learned when I started out in fashion is that it’s always important to listen to the women who are actually wearing your clothes. It’s wonderful to be inspired by the runways and high fashion magazines, but if you’re neglecting the women who love and support your designs then who exactly are you designing for? This is a question I often ask myself, as I’m always self-reflecting in order to make sure that I’m still creating for the Attitudes by Renée® and Women with Control® woman.
I must say, that I&rsqu... Continue Reading

Do you have one of those friends who can travel anywhere with just an overnight bag? What about the ones who can pull an outfit together in less than 10 minutes and still look fabulous? Or even the ones who claim they never have to iron anything, yet their outfits are always pretty much flawless? If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions, well then it seems that you already know a Wardrobe Warrior. And now it’s your turn to become one.
I travel often, and no matter the destination or the duration, I never check my luggage. It’s always carry-on or carry nothing! Many p... Continue Reading

This Thanksgiving, I’m thankful for the ability to stop the mad rush of design meetings and on-air appearances and take some time to enjoy the friends and loved ones I don’t get to see often enough. It’s so easy to get swept up in the rush of day-to-day life that it often takes extra effort to make yourself stop and reach out to those who you haven’t spoken to in a while. I’m presently travelling in Australia, doing just that. Of course, in between spending time with friends, I’m still out and about shopping the stores looking for inspiration. Working e...
