Summer is finally here and this means Memorial Day and the 4th of July, my two favorite summer weekends, are right around the corner. Cook outs, picnics, fireworks!!   Roscoe is ready for Memorial Day!! I couldn’t write my first blog of the summer without sharing my favorite recipe for picnics and cookouts. I try to make these deviled eggs at least a couple of times during the summer.  David’s Blue Cheese and Bacon Deviled Eggs   Makes 24 stuffed deviled eggs Ingredients 12 hardboiled eggs, cooled and peeled 8 slices bacon or pancetta, cooked crispy and cr... Started by David Dangle in Jewelry Talk, Hosts & Personalities, Joan Rivers Classics Collection 1429565760.283

There is no question - Mint has turned out to be the HOTTEST color of the season and I couldn’t be happier!!! ! It is a fresh and hip way to add pastels to your wardrobe, and I have yet to meet a gal who didn’t look amazing in this super-flattering shade! If you are considering adding mint to your wardrobe, here are some easy tips on how to make it look sensational! Think of mint as a new neutral. Pair it with white, black, navy or khaki. Think of it as a great complementing color to any of those wardrobe basics. Take a great pair of khaki pants, white tee and add a mint jacket o... Continue Reading

Joan Rivers’ Famous “Blank Canvas”

Last Reply by Bhappy 1429317701.83 | Started by David Dangle in Fashion Talk, Hosts & Personalities, Joan Rivers Classics Collection

Joan was, without a doubt, the best dressed woman I’ve ever known. I want you to look closely at the photos of Joan below. Other than looking fabulous (as Joan always did!) what else do you see?  Did you guess it right? There is a style trick that Joan taught me years ago; you might have heard us mention it on air. We always called it her “blank canvas”. Look again at the pictures. What’s at the core of all these amazing glamorous outfits? Perfectly tailored black pants, a slim skirt or a classic little black dress. Add a jersey tee shirt, tank top or turtlenec... Continue Reading

My Vacation Week in the Sun!

Last Reply by DRH48 1429540564.45 | Started by David Dangle in Fashion Talk, Hosts & Personalities, Joan Rivers Classics Collection

The temp at my place in Pennsylvania was 11 degrees the morning I left for my vacation on the island of Vieques. If you are not familiar with Vieques, it’s a tiny island (8 square miles!) right off the coast of San Juan, PR. A rustic, tropic paradise with stunning beaches and wild horses that roam free over the island! This was our 4th trip there in as many years and I can’t remember when I looked forward to a vacation more! 7 days in perfect sunny weather. 4 tee shirts. 3 pairs of shorts. 1 pair of Birkenstocks. 1 bathing suit. Let’s go: {I was greeted every morning with... Continue Reading

I spent time recently in our jewelry archives at Joan Rivers Worldwide. I’m so proud of the amazing things that Joan and I designed over the past 25 years. From our Marie of Romania egg charm necklace to the incredible Noah’s Arc inspired charm sets to countless lorgnettes and collectible boxes and Faberge inspired eggs. Not to mention over 200 original bee pin designs!! Joan taught me to appreciate jewelry from other time periods and different countries. Whether we were in St. Petersburg, Russia holding actual Faberge objet d’art in our white gloved hands, (You read that ri... Continue Reading

Red Carpet Memories of Joan

Last Reply by Chomps 1424702073.72 | Started by David Dangle in Fashion Talk, Hosts & Personalities, Joan Rivers Classics Collection

When I think of the award season and the Red Carpet, I am reminded of that incredible moment 20 years ago at the 1995 Golden Globes, when Joan asked the first celebrity “Who are you wearing?” With that simple question, Joan single-handedly shaped the red carpet as we know it and created an industry! No awards show happens today without a paparazzi-packed red carpet and the “step and repeat”. I will go so far as saying Joan created the concept of the celebrity stylist. Stars knew they had better look their best or suffer Joan’s wonderful, wicked sense of humor at... Continue Reading

The New Year is a great time to think about new pieces you’re going to need to pull your spring wardrobe together. And here is the good news: The new soft dressing trend will only be more important going forward, as comfort and fashion meet in the middle! Our collection has always been about blending classic style with what’s trending. It’s about carefully selecting the right new pieces that are going to work with things you currently own and love. Keep in mind, Joan knew that looking fabulous shouldn’t mean having to break the bank. Your closet is filled with won... Continue Reading

Hello from London!

Last Reply by butterflykathleen 1422734282.84 | Started by David Dangle in Fashion Talk, Hosts & Personalities, Joan Rivers Classics Collection

If there was a city in the world that Joan adored almost as much as New York, it was London. From her good friendship with Prince Charles and Camilla to her beloved Ritz Hotel, Joan considered London a second home. This is a bittersweet trip for me as Joan and I shared so many fun times here over the last 25 years.  I am in London for four days with our designer Janie Amoia. We are here scouting trends and looking for fabulous design inspirations. London is really happening for fashion right now and is considered the epicenter of trend; a home to new young designers.  Londoners a... Continue Reading
