I resisted for a long time, hearing everyone talking about how great the show Downton Abbey was. I waited and said, ‘Now I don’t have time to invest in another series!!’ Well my good friend, David Fritz, who plans the Quacker cruises, had something else in mind.
When I went to visit him last year in Florida, he got me COMPLETLEY HOOKED on this series. While I was with him, I watched the entire first season. When I got home, I downloaded Seasons 2 & 3 onto my iPad for watching. Then finally, this year I joined PBS so that I could own the entire series on DVD and get to wa... Continue Reading

I can’t even begin to tell you how excited Angel and I were for the day to arrive. We were sworn to secrecy about this special item – and for WEEKS we had been itching to tell you all about it – but we kept our promise and didn’t let the cat out of the bag until midnight!

Can you believe that it’s been almost 4 years since Jeanne Bice introduced her now world-famous DreamJeannes material to the United States of America?! It was during a live audience show on September 22nd, 2010 – and the first three items were the 5 Pocket Boot cut pants, the Leggings, AND our first-ever DreamJeannes jacket!
I know that Jeanne is smiling down from heaven with our Today’s Special Value for Tuesday, September 2nd – the DreamJeannes Denim & Diamonds Jacket!

The birthplace of Jeanne Bice – where Quacker Factory began!
As you may know, I was a model for Quacker Factory and Jeanne Bice for many years. Throughout the years, I would often hear Jeanne talk about her love of Wisconsin. She talked about the Friday Fish Fry, the Lighthouse at Fond du Lac, her cottage on Green Lake, Kringle from Racine, WI (ah yum) & fried cheese curds (yum, yum). She always had so many wonderful stories; I would find myself on the side of the set just listening to her talk!!
For one of Jeanne’s birthdays, she threw a party in Green Lake; however,... Continue Reading

Jeanne Bice used to always say, ‘Life’s a party – so you have to celebrate EVERY day!’
And one of the best times to celebrate with a party is when it’s someone’s birthday. Jeanne also said, ‘When you have a birthday, you get to celebrate all month long!’
Well, last month was my mother’s birthday – and trust me, I have no doubt that she is STILL celebrating! And I was lucky enough this year to have been able to join her on her actual birthday – in Brussels!
Mom and Dad had never been to Brussels before. They have some really g... Continue Reading

As you may know, I was a little blue over the winter months (feeling absolutely myself again now), but while I was picking myself up, I decided to buy a pass for Tango lessons at Sangha Space in Media, PA. This is also where Susan and I have been taking yoga classes!
So about ten weeks ago, my friends Susan, Karen and I began our Tango adventure!! I must tell you that the staff at Sangha Space and the other students were all so warm and welcoming. The teachers, Amy and Megan, were very encouraging, which, of course, we needed since we were new. Well Susan had taken classes many times before&m... Continue Reading

The summer of 2014 has been simply fantastic for me!! I have had the opportunity to take tango and yoga lessons. I have attended a few concerts and taken a cooking class with one of my BFF’s, and Glen and I have entertained our friends and family many times in our lovely backyard!! The Quack-tastic news is the summer is only partially over!!
There are still so many plans to come—a trip to Wisconsin to see where Jeanne grew up (blog to follow), taking Ben to see Marvel Universe Live, a pool party with my QVC friends, a weekend trip to the Pocono mountains, and so many more th... Continue Reading

The Fourth of July means so many things to everyone. To me, it reminds me of the many sacrifices our forefathers made to create this country of ours! And I thank them for all of the freedoms I am privileged to have to this day.
As you may know, Jeanne Bice loved all of our patriotic holidays. And when I had the chance to visit her, I remember she used to have apothecary jars around her kitchen full of candy for all of her guests. She never touched them—she really did not like chocolate, can you imagine???!!!!???? But I remember feeling so happy when I would dip my hands into those... Continue Reading

Well, as you may know, Jeanne Bice loved Memorial Day, and her house was full of Americana decorations! She inspired me to follow suit and decorate my house in honor of our great Country!
Here is a shot from Jeanne’s home all full of decorations! Many of these decorations she left up for the entire summer, celebrating the patriotic holidays all summer long!
I wanted to create a tablescape for my home, and I didn’t want to purchase too many new items. So I decided to repurpose some lanterns that I had received, from Jeanne’s collection, and turn them into a fun patriotic c... Continue Reading
